Oh, yeah...I was also sorta thinking that they might keep Jaina and Jacen around...but so far that doesn't seem to be the case.

 

I still there's a shot at the 'concept' sticking around if Kylo Ren and Rey are Solo siblings (I think its interesting that if you stick the code name 'Kira' in front of Rey you could end up with Kira Rey Solo and Kylo Ren Solo which are the same sort of naming convention you saw with Jaina and Jacen... and Luke and Leia for that matter), but I agree that at this point the names are 99% likely toast (barring the extreme outside shot that Rey is a pseudonym like 'Ben' was to Obi-Wan and not just short for Reyla or Reyna or similar).

 

The way they butchered the Twin battle in LOTF sours the thought of seeing it in the ST imo.

The two things I liked about LOTF were first the introduction of Boba Fett's granddaughter and second, her grudging friendship with Jaina.

While I doubt it will happen, a friendship between a Fett and a Solo would be interesting to see.

 

Mirta Gev, Lon Shevu and Jori Lekauf were all good additions to the series.

 

And the prospect of seeing it done RIGHT is a big part of why I'd wanna see it in the ST.

 

Will still feel like a rip-off of what happened in LOTF imo.

 

Hutts are hermaphrodites and asexual (or Trisexual - Insert RHPS reference of "as in try anything sexual') and was based off of Truman Capote.

Marvel is releasing Dark Horse stuff that isn't being continued anymore. Fans can chose what they want to read. Because of this I'm even more willing to read the new stuff.
For fans of the OOT and 97 SE's the same cannot be said.
Maybe Disney will release those. Who knows?

 

I think that it was part of their plan all along. When they dropped the Legends banner on the old EU, all they did was slap it on the book covers. Marvel just had to wait until the Dark Horse deal was up. Now that they own it all, they can do what they are doing. As for Lucas not re-releasing the original versions of the movies, that is indeed on him. He wants the SE's to be THE final version. You can probably bank on the fact that someday, if not just to earn a boat load of money, that Disney will BluRay the original versions and sell them.

 

Marvels Star Wars number one has come out today, great start.

 

Yeah Vader's creative use of Stormtroopers is a highlight. Loved the issue, hella fun.
