Nat might have just been having a bad day

or I my theory was right and Padme has been in on it all along and has been playing Anakin. Hence the line ?gHe was seduced by the dark side of the force" :D

If Padme is the Dark Side, then I don't want to be on the light. ;)

Yeah the graphic novel is pretty cool. The hardback on the other hand reads like a True Romance novel. Here is an example:

Anakin finally managed to roll over and pin her and Padme' stopped struggling, suddenly aware of the closeness. She looked into his eyes, and felt the press of his body upon hers

It goes on like that for several pages. I guess a teenage girl or Brandon might enjoy it, but for me so far it's been a little disappointing. Of course I haven't read to the good parts yet other than the chase through Coruscant.

Hey Tim, are you sure you're reading the novelization for "Star Wars" and not "Star Ballz"??

So, lemme get this straight...in this movie, C-3PO finally gets his coverings, while everyone else gets naked?!

Brian, I'm giving you points for that. Good stuff, that material was.

Hey Tim, would that be "points for sex"?

Guys, you have to understand that Tim is an older guy and his eyesight is not what it once was.

I've seen his 'novelization', and just haven't had the heart to tell him that it's a Tex-Mex cooking book, not the Episode II novel.

    ;)

gosh is the novel really that bad?...i'm supposed to get that for my birthday...if it's got sappy crap like that it might take me longer than i thought to read it...i might be a teenage girl, but sappy romance is something i don't really like to read...i've read some, but it's only good if you're bored and awake at an odd hour of the night.

In all seriousness, Tim's feelings on the novel are the first non-positive ones I have heard. Every other word I've gotten on it has been ecstatic. It goes into the story of the movie in much more detail, and apparently does not pull any punches, especially for some of the darker scenes and actually 'shows' some of the things that would definitely give this film an 'R' rating if shown onscreen (not romance or steam, but extreme violence).

I'd like to be able to tell you firsthand, but I won't be reading it until after the movie.

Down here we have a little game going. We all read the first 4 chapters and stop. The first one to snap and read past that point loses. :)

Up here we have a little game going. Brandon tries to look past the first 4 inches of Tim's 'novelization'..you know the one he's gotten a 'look' at?... The first one to unsnap his pants past that point looses.

OK I finish said novel last night, I "worked" late. It improved, such as Anakin's attack on the Tusken Raiders is quite disturbing and intense. He crushes an entire tent full of Raiders with a bolder he calls to him using the Force. Women and children are killed as well. The Arena scene is not as fleshed out as I had hoped. The final duel with Dooku is great. I guess I really enjoyed the interaction of Jango and Boba, good father and son stuff there.

My main complaint is the constant firtive glances, longing intense stares, deep desires, we must, we mustn't and general over-working of glands that is rampant in the book.

...or pry open your wallet and buy your own damn book!
