Full Series Official Star Wars Rebels Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

As of now I caught a rerun of the 2nd episode. The problem was since then; episode 1 was recorded fine.

 

I purchased the Season 2 Blu-ray of Rebels today and noticed a volume difference between the season opener, "The Siege Of Lothal" and the first regular episode "The Lost Commanders".

When I first started watching it, I was hoping the whole set was going to be so low in volume but as soon as Commanders started, I had to turn it down 4 levels.

Since when does the volume change between episodes on a Blu-ray?

 

Yeah, I noticed that too. The volume on Siege of Lothal is the same as all of the episodes on the Season One blu-ray. I wonder if something changed in the way they did their sound after that? I forget which one, but there's another episode later on that goes back to the weirdly quiet sound.

 

I just don't get it. When will these sets have proper lossless audio?????

 

I am really enjoying this show, I watch every Saturday with my nephew!

 

So I have a very strange complaint about the show, but it's a complaint none the less:

Has anyone else noticed that despite how incredible the animation has been looking, how detailed the landscapes are, and how realistic things like storm troopers and battle droids look...the characters butts and crotches have absolutely no detail or shading at all. I think its actually distracting how flat all of their pants are. Its like the animators were afraid of making it too "sexy" or risque, but I've never seen another cartoon who's characters look quite like that. I'd be willing to bet if we posted some screen caps of Kanan and Hera's pants, and cropped out the rest of their bodies, no one would be able to tell what direction they were facing. Is it really to much to ask to add some pant wrinkles where the legs meet the crotch, or some shadow under the place their butts should be?
Has anyone else noticed this? (because if not, you will now.)

That's not an appropriate topic for the forum. This is a family friendly site and Disney is family friendly as well, so there's no need to have such distinctiveness to their characters. Not everything needs to be sexualized.

 

I'm not talking about anything being "sexualized". I'm just saying it's distracting how hard they're making an effort to Not sexualize the drawings at all. In all seriousness, google some images of Kanan right now and tell me that his pants aren't bizarre looking compared to the rest of him.

Your not talking about it being sexualized, and yet the next sentance talks about how they (Disney) are trying hard not to sexualize it. Drop the topic. Disney isn't going to have the animators draw things like that on their characters because when it comes down to it, Rebels is aimed at children. It's on a kids/pre-teen channel. So no, we won't be continuing this conversation.

Move on.

 

Has anyone else seen the lightsaber teaser? Maul's descent into madness continues, we've never seen him laugh like that since his Spider-Maul days.

Sounds upcoming; doesn't sound similar to any lines I can remember from the season 2 finale.

 

Maybe Kanan is speaking to Sabine?

 

It is quite possible.

 

Dunno, it sounded like Jedi talk to me. I don't think Sabine needs to beware her feelings since she's not force-sensitive.
