I might get in trouble for double-posting ------ but the heck with it!

Season 4 has taken this show from NEU to Essential Star Wars viewing ---- I mean the level of story-telling is par excellence. Well done Rebels Creative!

A shame - so many people I know who like Star Wars or love it have never tuned in a single time. Go figure.

I totally agree,I have friends that are Star Wars fans But have never gave the show a try due to it being a cartoon. I cannot wait to see how they tie this series together, I hope for a lot of surprises.

I wonder why the they are evacuating all imperial presence from Lothal, the death star cant fire right? its not test ready until Rogue One, so what is going to happen to Lothal? Also that whole scene with Ezra watching the furnace was so poorly done. The music doesnt fit the scene at all, its to late in the series for Ezra to just randomly go dark after all of his lame comedy scenes that have happened all season. I guess Filoni left for an important reason, but man the writing is just not good.

I don't think that Protocol 13 is occurring on Lothal, it's just a new tactic the Empire has been practicing which the Rebellion has gotten wind of. It's another hint towards the Death Star and what it does. The Empire still needs to maintain its presence on Lothal for the production of the Defender Elite, and as evidenced in the last episode they still haven't yet stripped the entire planet of its resources.

I didn't pay that much attention to the painting in the episode, but it's very nice to see it more clearly now. Thanks for posting.

That large crack in the middle is even more visible here. That has to have some kind of meaning or symbolism.

As others already said, those pictures to the left really look familiar (Yoda) I wonder who that figure is above the three Jedi with that circle around it.

I can't help but wonder if somehow Kanan and Ezra are already shown on that drawing.

Looks like it is a representation of Yoda, Mace Windu and Ki-Adi Mundi.

The glorified one is obviously Chopper(Filoni)

I took the crack to be where the portal begins. The wolves led them through there to get to the other side of Lothal, right?

Or perhaps the encircled figure isn't a Messiah, but an ordinary person who is exiting a portal door. All the beings on the right could represent the past / native understanding of the Force. They include both the animals with a "deep connection" to the Force and the people. The left hand side could therfore indicate the modern relationship with the Force: the people are still there, but there are also Jedi to serve as interpreters of the Force. The mountains are broken; the connection between these viewpoints is being destroyed. People are losing access to the Force in its entirety. And then, in the episode, the Empire physically damages the actual Lothal mountains, echoing their war on the spiritual (Jedi, Jedha, etc.).

Its odd for me to think its Yoda in those cave paintings, simply cause I initially didn't think of the cave paintings being that young. Navajo/Australian aborigines-looking cave paintings don't seem like the type of activity that an analogously "Western" people like the current Lothans would partake in. Art-deco/Socialist realism seems to be the current art style of Lothal based on the mural in the Old Republic Senate Building. Was there some kind of recently wiped out religious group like the Bardottans or some wiped-out indigenous people on Lothal? Or did Yoda "travel" back in time to contact ancient Lothans(travel being in quotes as my guess would be some sort of force-skype like he did with Ezra, the mounds being some weird place in the force/space time where funky stuff can occur like a stroll through hyperspace)? Interesting to note, there's a Lothal in the real world that is an archeological site for an ancient city. The name Lothal translates to "mound of the dead."

It's all going to come together when Optimus Prime shows up for the final battle and says, 'til Lothal are one.

I wonder how old these cave paintings are. We're assuming they're old because cave paintings in real life tend to be pre-historic artifacts.

Then again we're dealing with the Force here. Perhaps the artists were using the Farseeing power to glimpse at the future, and drawn a picture of Yoda long before he was even born.

Time Travel is a pox I hope Star Wars always stays away from.

Why does nobody think it's Yaddle?:p

Or more seriously another member of that species? They could still be ancient paintings if that is a drawing of a member of Yoda's species and not in fact him.
Might be a stretch, but it's possible.

Well, to have a Yoda-like figure with a cane and lightsaber (notice that they all have lightsabers on their belts)....it would seem like they're trying to bang us over the head. I mean, sure it could be another Yoda alien. But a Yoda-looking alien with a Yoda cane who is a Jedi? Has to be Jar Jar.

Lothal Wolf, yes. The background hasn't been defined, yet, but they're force sensitive creatures.

And apparently, they are only visible when they choose to be. They were thought extinct, and in the first episode with them, it appears that only Ezra can see them, but everyone in the group can next time. It makes me wonder if they are literally real, just Force manifestations, or both?

Manifestations of the Force, most likely.

In Native American culture, an animal spirit guide chooses when and who to appear to. Usually it is for a purpose and not a random act; to provide urgent information and guidance, during significant periods of an individuals life.

Indeed. So no doubt the Wolves as well as the Convoree's are being guides. My guess is they will eventually lead the somewhere, which is what I find fascinating. I want to know where they are leading them.
