Full Series Official Star Wars Rebels Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

Excuse me if this was asked but does anyone know when the Season 4 Blu-ray will be available?

 

Most likely October, but nothing official yet.

 

Nope, they're gonna do a little better than that. Tracy at Lucasfilm confirmed it will be late Summer:

 

Really! That’s early, but still great to hear.

 

Early as possible makes sense, they'll want to move beyond Rebels to market whatever it is they're doing next.

 

Nice to hear, but summer officially ends at the end of September, so not that much earlier

 

This. Also, if another big threat like that appeared before then, it makes the NR's demilitarization by TFA even more questionable.

 

Just continuing what I briefly touched in the character contest thread. Looking back, I think the biggest character revelation for me (outside of the obvious) was in fact Numa. Bringing her back in the Ryloth episodes caught me off guard, but in a good way. It was kind of inevitable that Cham was going have some role with his daughter; but Numa really didn't have to be there.

 

Thanks to comics, Pryce is a really neat character

 

Well, moreso the novel the comic is based on.

Wow. Slightly inflammatory but this fellow makes some valid points about Rebels as a show. I think I'll see what other commentary he's made.

That was pretty harsh, for the most part. I'd be lying if I said I didn't laugh at some points, but I still don't like these review videos where the producer seems to force his own personal opinion on you and make you feel bad if yours is different.

 

He's slightly less obnoxious this time.

It's funny how he judges Rebels for things TCW was also guilty of, but he's such a big fan of it that it gets a free pass.

 

What got me was how he complained about everyone predictably living in Rebels; and yet it seems he also had an issue with Rogue One. Outside of the end of ROTS, that's easily the darkest ending to date of any canon material.

 

As someone who had plenty of criticism of Rebels, I found that video hilarious and also full of contradictory BS. His main beef seems to be “we already know how it ends because we’ve seen the movies", except that is the same for every single prequel story you tell, including TCW, which he seems to love. He compared the dullness of the shots to the PT as if to prove a point, when Rebels' camera art and editing style actually has a lot more in common with the OT than with the PT.

Basically it seems that he only cared about the show when it was about characters he cared about. Which is fine, the Rebels original characters are not his cup of tea, but he doesn’t seem to have much more substantial things to say beyond that – and it doesn’t help his argument at all when it brings TLJ later, which has been criticized for the same exact things he is criticizing Rebels, and more.

I don’t know, I’ve seen and read good criticism of Rebels. That video was not just one of them.

I remember seeing a pretty nifty Loth Wolf Sigil floating around the internet around the airing of the last two episodes, it was a stencil type deal, but cant seem to find it online anymore.
does anyone know what im talking about?

Well Season 3 came out in early August, so we'll have to just wait and see.
