The Count Vidian cyborg sounds interesting, perhaps like a Grand Moff Trachta.

 

Sabine is 16 years old by the time of Rebels, and since Rebels takes place 14 years after RotS, Sabine was alive around the time Maul took control of Mandalore. I wonder if she has any memories of the Civil War on Mandalore between the Death Watch and the Shadow Collective? Sure, she would've been only a year or two old, however a war/battle like that could traumatize a young child and make them remember it.

 

Maybe she was all alone in some district while the battle was raging around her or something and trying to hide. That could leave a good imprint on her memory. One of her parents could have been part of Death Watch or a Nite Owl for all we know.

 

I doubt Sabines backstory will be brought up.

 

I thought Filoni said that they would get into all the characters backstories eventually.

Baron Rudhor instead of Baron Fel? Sounds also like a play on the Red Baron, as Rud means reddish:

Star Wars loves it's nominative determinism. Who would have thought somebody named Skywalker would turn out to be an amazing pilot? Or that somebody named Solo would be a scoundrel? Or someone named Sleazbaggano would sell death sticks?

Secrets of the Rebels #5 : Imperial Star Destroyer.

 

I think the latest trailer was better than all the shorts combined. But that slingshot I think I will find annoying if its overused.

I'm imagining her grizzled and bitter at the venerable age of 16, downing shots of Corellian ale in a dingy cantina and regaling her sordid tale of broken dreams to whoever would listen when the rest of the Ghost's crew first stumble upon her.

 

I wonder how long Sabine's even been with the crew...

 

If 2 years old when it started it is possible she grew up during the turmoil on Mandalore and lost her family during it...learned how to fight and fend for herself but also developed an artictic streak as an escape from the violence around her.

 

Hoenstly the things I am looking forward to are things that could tie all the eras together.

Yes we now have Imperator-class Star Destroyers...but would love to see Venators and Acclamators still being used as well as would love to finally see Victory-class and Gladiator-class (Demolisher from the old Droids series) ships on screen. Maybe even a Tector as it would just mean taking the Imperator and giving it a flat surface. As well as re-skinning other CW era ships like the Peltas and Counselor gunship refits in Imperial grey as well.

Have a fleet of different ships show up to subjagate a planet that is not towing the imperial line.

Edit...also give us the TIE/gt...predecessors to the TIE Bombers.

 

The Rebels Visual Guide refers to those ships as Imperial I-class Star Destroyers. I'm guessing that this is "the first canon reference book".

 

I just perfer the way the latin names tie them all together.
