Full Series Official Star Wars Rebels Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

Hopefully this "movie" is better then the clone wars one.

 

Wouldn't be that hard to do really.

 

An movie consisting of only two television episodes seems like quite a short one.

 

I saw the Clone Wars movie in the theater with my Dad, we both loved it !!!
Sadly we were the only people in the theater

 

I liked it when it first came out. It doesn't age well.

 

I bought the DVD when I was younger. I loved it. Now it just gathers dust on my shelf.

 

I did like General Loathsome though. He had a pretty neat design.

 

Yeah. And I liked Ventress from the moment I saw her.

Did you know that a cut scene had her fighitng Anakin on top of a rancor and getting crushed by it?

 

I think seeing a movie in the theater makes it a better experience all around, but I did love the clone wars from the beginning. Although I will admit the Animation got way better over the years.

 

Compare the movies animation to season 6. It's an amazing transition. Imagine how season 8 would've looked.

There was a book I got years back, a kids kind of book for Star Wars The Clone Wars where certsin decisions could lead you to the Jedi or the Sith; it was reader insert. Anyway, one of the scenes if you went darkside or helped Ventress; you got attacked by a Rancor.

 

Yeah. It took place in the monestary.

It really shows how bad the animation was. The voice acting is pretty cheesy as well.

Well, at least they improved over time.

 

They improved with the first epsiode of the actual show for me.

 

I rather liked that scene, they shouldve kept it in.

 

I remember after seeing the movie I was ready to give up on the series altogether. I decided to give it a few episodes though, and while I think season 1 is by far the weakest, it did keep me interested enough to stick with it and I'm so glad I did.

I imagine Rebels will be the same, it'll need a little time to get going but after the way TCW really picked up, I think it'll end up being a great series.

 

This. Even though I like it, most people forget how mediocore season 1 was. We just need to give Rebels a chance.

I feel bad. Rebels has to assert itself against Clone Wars AND the Original Trilogy.

Clone Wars had to outshine the Prequels.

What a hurdle that was, huh?

 

Who is narrarating that? He sounds like another kid character.

 

I enjoyed TCW from the get go.

 

Ezra seeing a lightsaber for the first time in Rebels reminds me of Luke in ANH.
