With all the talk of drawing parallels between Rebels and Firefly, I'm surprised nobody has said that Kallus' voice reminds them of someone...

African-English guy with smooth deep voice, playing a character intent on hunting down the heroes.

Nah, they've got nothing in common... :p

Zeb is obviously inspired by Jayne. I hope Zeb's mom gives him a silly knitted hat at some point in the series.

The bad guy in Serenity was actually played by Chiwetel Ejiofor, who has more recently become famous for Twelve Years A Slave.

Alas, Hera already has met Rebels' quota for amusing millinery.

    *Never mind mis-read.

I agree with anotherdemon and have expressed similar concern and criticism.

One thing on Boba Fett, he was not a legend or competent bounty hunter during the CW show. He was bratty, and often ridiculed and smacked around by his peers like Sing, and Ventress took over his outfit and embarrassed him. He hung around with veterans but he was not a capable combatant on the show in his own right. I do not think that show added anything to the mystique and prowess this character is known for largely due to the EU not really the OT movies. Unless during the 14 years later Fett got better but this would need to be explored, 1313 is gone as of now.

Fett would certainly be closer to his OT version here- but I think we need to remember that Rebels is less of an anthology show than TCW was. While CLONE WARS was happy to focus a few episodes on the droids, or Jar Jar, or Boba... I think REBELS will keeps it's story more focused on our main cast, with fewer diversions. And with the shorter seasons, that makes total sense.

So I think Boba Fett, or some of the other bounty hunters from Empire (we never saw IG-88, Zukuss, or 4-LOM on CLONE WARS) could quite plausibly make an appearance to try and track down the crew of the Ghost- I think that will be saved for some time down the road after our primary characters are better established.

Lucas produced the first show, he had oversight. That show depicted Ventress and other Dark Jedi, a clan of Nightsisters, some undead Sith specters, a guy who was the literal personification of the Dark Side...

Just because the rule exists for that one order, doesn't mean it rules out anyone else worshipping the Dark Side.

It's worth the wait. It's pretty amazing for an opener to a series.

Yeah, I'm glad that Amedda isn't disappearing off the face of the galaxy after ROTS anymore.

Oh, yeah I remember him. It's nice he wasn't cut but isn't he's the guy who did the creepy tongue thing in ROTS?

Friday will be great watching spark of rebellion back to back with legend of Korra.

Probably the biggest praise I can give rebels so far is that the ensemble cast feels like a Joss Wheadon show.

Cool. Someone should save all these clips. I have a feeling after rebels runs its course, they'll be taken down.

I'm glad too. He always seemed as close to Palps as one can be without being a Sith. His presence helps reinforce that the Empire was once a Republic. I've always disliked the Republic-Empire disconnect in the Legends EU.

"Lando system?" There was a rumor about Billy Dee doing voice-work for Rebels, but can't recall if debunked or not. Ah, man, there were so many production paintings for Bespin that I want to see realized on this show! (I'm already super excited to see the grassland paintings turned into Lothal.) Alderaan, talk about art-porn. Fingers crossed for Alderaan, when 3PO and R2 show up.

Might Amedda be chief among the "bootlickers" mentioned in the ANH novelization? Amedda is the one who suggested giving Palpatine emergency powers.

I'm pretty sure it was actually confirmed that Billy Dee Williams did voice work for Rebels. Seems that at some point in the show they'll either go to Bespin or find Lando on some other planet. Would be interesting to see if the Falcon is still in his possession at this point or if Han already won it from him (I'd assume Han has already had it for some time now, but you never know).

Yep. An apparence by him wouldn't be unwelcome. I hope that rumor was true. I wonder, if we did see Alderaan; we would see maybe a glimpse you Leia? That would be interesting. But seeing 3PO and R2 especially is going to be awesome.
