Full Series Official Star Wars Rebels Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

Well, you were the one who told us that watching Rebels was making you feel more stupid. How is it unreasonable for me to suggest that maybe you shouldn't do something that makes you feel that way? If I told you that Season 3 of Arrow was making my eyes vomit blood, would it not be valid for someone to suggest I watch something else?

It figures that I'd spend several posts stating why the show is better than you say and trying to convince people to watch, only to later get accused of intentionally trying to get you to stop watching.

I just discovered a pattern that could emerge throughout Rebels

Season 1: Overabundance Of OT cameos
Season 2: Overabudance Of TCW cameos
Season 3: (2016) Overabundance Of TFA Cameos
Season 4: (2017) Overabundance Of Rogue One Cameos

My point being with new films adding new characters to the saga Rebels will always have characters they can shoehorn into stories for the sake of tie-ins.

 

So far non of them have been shoe horned in except maybe Lando and Yoda.

 

I didn't mean all the cameos were shoehorned but I do feel there were too many too soon. And by the looks of season 2 I don't see that trend stopping.

Still don't like the fact that the only OT character not in TFA was conveniently on Lothal for the time of rebels

 

Tarkin would be a given imo. Governor of the Outer Rim with a planet with Rebels on it. Yeah.
R2, C-3PO and Bail? Should have been on another planet during the series or Hera was in constant contact with Bail and then revealed at the end.
Can't complain about Lando too much. It is possible he stopped on the planet and ran into them imo.
Yoda? Eh.
Vader showing up at the end works.
Anyone else? Can't remember.

Kenobi was the holocron from ROTS. Ezra finding it and then Kanan listening to it while thinking about Ezra makes sense imo. Unless I missed something.
Yoda might be a problem though.

Rogue One tie-in to Rebels? It'll just be like the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. tie-ins to the Marvel movies. What about The Force Awakens, there should be something

they're doing to tie-in to Rebels in Season 2.

 

I heard about it. I'm not happy they're letting this loser near rebels

 

And that story ended with you frustrated and figuratively throwing your hands in the air and telling me I should stop watching. Like I already said, it's not your business.

 

I think that you need to re-read that story, because you're coming to the wrong conclusion about the motivations of the brilliant, dashing and dare I say, ruggedly handsome hero of the tale. He is in fact not attempting to convince the anonymous internet user to cease their entertainment habits, but merely to challenge preconceived notions and make points that are apparently elusive.

I think it's kind of adorable that you are mistaking my bemusement for frustration. Frustration is when I find or have reason to believe a federal official is colluding with private enterprise to give them an unfair advantage. It's not when I'm having a discussion with some random person on the internet. This is relaxing comparatively.

But still ironic from time to time.

A suitable solution, indeed. But, if we are going to Paper/Rock/Scissors to settle a matter of honor, it must be to the death.

I personally always play to the death. Many are the foes who have fallen to my astounding mastery of hand gestures...

 

And the only one that's even remotely "shoehorned in" is Lando. And I didn't really care because Billy Dee was entertaining as always.

 

i can't wait for season 2 opener maybe we won't have all these aimless debates about what's wrong with Rebels.

 

Try putting your ears against speakers when the speakers are experiencing audio feedback.

Better yet, the speakers are within an enclosed space around your head, amplifying the sound pressure level.

I'm in the mood for some praise! I like how each episode, even Idiot's Array, has gradually built the tension with Imperial awareness of the Rebellion. I'm excited to see a larger and larger Rebel Alliance.
