Hmm quite close. I would agree that the Emperor perhaps should only be seen as hologram communication a la his "first" appearance in Empire Strikes Back.

EDIT: if he appears at all that is!

 

If he appears, it shouldn't be until late in the series. When this new, "Rebellion," is getting more and more bold. As things are now, the Ghost crew are small potatoes to a man who has a whole galaxy to run.

 

Hey guys! I've decided to contribute to the Rebels discussion

I am kind of getting excited for this show, which is surprising me, because I am still missing TCW, and I much prefer that era to the OT. I think the Inquisitor will be a great villain, and I am also excited about potentially seeing Darth Vader in TCW-like animation. Also, I am really hoping we get to see some characters from TCW that didn't have their stories wrapped up - Cad Bane, Ahsoka, and Captain Rex come to mind. I would also love to see a Darth Maul appearance if he survives the comic book, and I'd also love to see Starkiller. I still am not really enthused at this random group of kids forming the Rebellion, but I am thinking that I may give this a shot. I am just worried it will be too kiddish for my taste.

 

Pretty sure that Bossk model is just from TCW used for the cover.

Random group of kids? Only one of them is actually a kid, though not sure about Sabine's age yet.

 

The description of "Ezra's Gamble" from the Jedi News report calls the book "a glimpse at our main hero's adventures before the events of the first episode of Star Wars Rebels". This may mean we won't actually "see" Bossk in Rebels....

 

By novel do they mean novel?

 

Huh, Kanan and Hera look pretty good together.

 

Agreed. A romance should come naturally, not be forced in and beaten over our heads. "Hey, guys! Guys! In case you didn't get it before, these two are in love!" IMO the show should not have them already in any kind of relationship aside from partners/friends when it starts. Develop the romance naturally if it's going to happen, but spread it out. Don't make one central episode where suddenly Kanan and Hera get googoo over each other. Make it happen naturally, maybe even subtly–sort of like when Bo-Katan brushed her hair behind her ear after Obi-Wan flew away (not saying Bo was attracted to Obi-Wan, just that's the kind of subtle thing that should be included, not "Oh, Kanan, you're so handsome! Be my boyfriend!"). Blech.

 

Kanan has bad trigger discipline. He's asking for a ND right there.

 

Not sure what "ND" means but I lol'ed nonetheless.

Kannan doesn't seem the sort to bother. SW doesn't seem all that geared to formal dress in general, either.

 

I don't know, but I'll guess junior novel.

 

You know what I'm worried about? A team of cliches. The way they describe the cast members it just sounds like a bunch character tropes that have been beaten to death, You got the team mother, the sassy kid(s), the tech guy. I suppose the stories like really good would balance all this out.

That's a guarantee. Is there's anything I know about Greg Weisman shows, they go overboard with the shipping focus.
