I'm sure someone has the money, though I doubt that it is anyone here. Most of us can't afford the ISD, let alone that beauty!

 

I've downloaded Garth's building instructions of his creations. I'm thinking about beginning with the probe droid. So I'm scouting eBay for lots of black bricks.

You know, I sold all of my Lego to a relative, who just had her first son, for just $25 when I was 15 or something. And let me tell ya, I had lots of Lego! Still the stupidest decision in my entire life.

That Ebay auction for the Venator breaks my heart. I saw it up close and personal at Celebration III, it was awesome. I think someone in this forum mentioned that it cost the folks at LEGO $20,000 to create.

 

Bricklink's probably a better option than ebay.

There are now higher res scans of the new ISD and Salibarge

From the ISD scan it's clear that we're finally getting a Tarkin minifig;

Though he looks to be wearing black, rather than olive green. The face print is good though, and would be a pretty easy custom job to give him his ANH clothes.

In the high-res scan of the ISD it also looks like an Imperial Gunner right in the nose section and there's a black astromech by the hangar/hole.

 

Why would Tarkin be on an ISD? I think that is more likely Adm. Piett, or at least that makes more sense.

 

That scowl is definetely Tarkin's.

But I'm psyched about the Sail Barge. I finally get a Lando minifig, the new skiff looks pretty good and the barge even has a launcher for Boba.

 

Well, Windu was in the Clone Tank set, though he was never on that planet in ROTS.

Tarkin in in the ISD because it's a classic Imperial set, and he's a classic Imperial minifig that hasn't been made yet. Increases the sets appeal, and one would imagine that an Imperial Grand Moff would hop on board a Star Destroyer from time to time.

 

There's precedent for that: just look at Jerjerrod aboard the Executor in ESB.

The thought of the Sailbarge has me dancing in the aisles. The thought of the new ISD (regardless of what minifigs it comes with) has me even more grateful to be an owner of the original ISD.

Say, Bricklink is a great tip jp-30!! One of the parts I need for the probe droid is an 8 x 8 black radar dish. Hard to find on eBay, but I already found a couple in some Bricklink stores. And in Holland too!

 

Im not very keen on the new ISD, but id lov a Tarkin minifig.

 

2 days till I can build the Sandcrawler! \o/ I could build it tomorrow, but ill wait till christmas day.

Man, was I tempted when I saw the Interceptor, B-wing and A-wing at TRU today. But the lines were absurd, so I'll just go on Monday. Slave 1 was there too, but I just don't have the room for it (I still have Jango's anyway).

 

You think that the lines are going to be better on Monday than they were today?!? The only reason I am leaving the house on Monday is to drive to my folks' place.

I wish my TRU had anything new, but the ones here rarely put out anything new SW related.

 

But I'm going to be buying things, not returning them.
