    Banner Submissions

    Are you good at making banners? Are you familiar with using graphics? Are you interested in seeing your banner used here on the JC?


    Show us your ideas and designs for a banner that would be used here as a symbol of individuality and ?coolness? (or, in Lando terms, smoooovness :p ) of this forum. Post your pictures and banner submissions here. :)

    This is what I have come up with for the SWC Banner so far. I thought a "Cantina" montage would suit this forum well. :)

    Alternatively, I have previously made two YJCC banners. (Here and here respectively).

    The text on these can be changed easily to Star Wars Community. :)

    I like your banners. :)

    Now here are some suggestions from me personally regarding banners;

    1. Most banners on the JC today have the same plan, a couple of big portraits put together, now wouldn't it be great to have something different in this forum. To make it really stand out.

    2. Take a look at the topics in here, what are the characters that are most talked about? Is it time for handmaidens and Lando to get their place on a banner?

    3. I wouldn't mind a mix of PT and OT, after all this forum is open for all.

    Note that is my personal views.

    Also in order to give everybody a little more time I would like to keep the competition open until 2nd of April, so when this thread closes move to the SWC communications thread. :) If you banner-makers think that the time is too short, please tell, and we will listen.

    I LOVE that YJCC banner that is based on the Outlander club. Perhaps you could alter it to say Community, like you mentioned above. ;)






    Obi Anne: I agree. Maybe create a montage of characters interacting, rather than just showing their faces plainly...


    And definately add some of the characters that trademark this forum- Handmaidens, Lando, Obi-Wan (you have to admit that he does have a pretty successful Fan Club here.. ;) :p ), Jawas, etc. :)






    Oh, and my idea for the Social Thread is a "cantina"-based topic.

    Well, actually, not so much a cantina as a place to hang out. You know, like a "nightspot" or a "club" would be.

    It could have a theme, like based upon a character, location, event, group, etc.




    *shrugs* Just throwing out ideas... :)

    atomik: It's not a "contest" in the sense that you would get colors or anything...


    More or less a "donation" of a banner, and when you submit an idea it is to be considered for use here in this forum. ;) :)

    To see KenKenobi's banners you need to click and drag ;) That's the problem with freespacers - no remote linking allowed.

    The Lando is good.

    I like the Outlander Club one better though cos I think it reflects our diversity - a lot of different people, from different countries coming together and having fun (minus the deathsticks ;)).

    Charis: Yeah, we are a diverse group, so that seems logical. :)


    I just like the Cloud City "feel" of things. Relaxing, laid-back...overall comfortable. ;)

    I like the Lando banner ideas- but I also agree w/ others that I think the themes should somehow encompass both sagas since there are threads in here for both.

    There are also a lot of "fan" clubs in here an A/P club, Handmaiden club, and a Luke Skywalker club- maybe the banner can look at which characters all have social clubs and base the banner on all of them?

    As for colors- I really don't like the bright blues in the JC community boards- they hurt my eyes to read. Maybe something like some nice muted purples/ mauves or something?
