It'll probably be similar to what happened to Savage. Except with robot parts.

I'm loving the facial animation for Maul here. It just feels visceral, and I'm betting they used Witwer's own expressions in the recording booth. Seriously, if you ever see that guy in live action get angry, his face contorts and his eyes just get possessed. And Obi-wan's looking good, too. For the first part, he seems like the calm Jedi master we all know, but the next there's just this hint of overwhelming grief and anger that brings him back to the Phantom Menace.

And for all you EU fans, it looks like Maul's using Dun Moch, not as a way of turning your opponent to the dark side like Palpatine does, but as an offensive tactic to make your opponent lower his defenses and over-extend himself.

And Maul just sounds so cold there...

It's so ridiculous that Maul can be taunting Obi-Wan about him killing Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan doesn't throw it right back in his face.

"How did you feel when I killed your master?"

"Not as bad as you must have felt when I killed YOU, punk!"

We don't know that Obi-Wan didn't taunt Maul after the clip.

"How did that make you feeeeeel?"

So Maul took a Psych 101 course during his twelve(?) year exile.

Although I will admit that by the light of the sabers Maul looks incredibly intimidating and reminds me of just how much I used to like the character.

Heroes only taunt villains when they realise they can't defeat them conventionally and they have to convince the villain to shoot himself and/or renounce his evil ways.

Saw a new trailer with new dialog for Revenge on Cartoonetwork. (New to me anyway.)

"I defeated you before, and I can do it again." - Obi-Wan

"Don't be so certain!" - Maul

I'm impressed that they didn't go for some variant of "Your overconfidence is your weakness, Obi Wan."

Maybe Katie Lucas never got round to watching her daddy's films.

Wonder if they even look through scripts before approving them...

"My hatred kept my speerit intact..."

    Ooh, Witwer's accent's slipping.

This still isn't as bad as JAT's "Arqua Droids" in the S3 opener and Stephen Stanton with Tarkin's "Plarne B." Those were the two biggest Received Pronunciation fails on TCW. :p

Decent voice acting from Witwer. His Maul sounds like Peter Serafinowicz's voice for Maul after being castrated and shouted hoarse, and I mean that in a good way. I get the sense that Maul's sanity is still balanced on the edge of a knife despite his regaining of composure and coherence.

Wanna bet this is it? This is all the explanation we'll get?

"My hatred kept my spirit intact even though my body was not."

Ok, I can buy that, hate kept your spirit intact. AND WHAT ABOUT YOUR BODY?!! Mind explaning what kept THAT alive through a bisection and terminal fall? Nah, never mind...

And will we get any explanation for how Randy has Maul's lightsaber?

Also, one-minute clip, two instances of "revenge", let's see if we can sustain that average...

Evidently his search for his brother took him all across the galaxy, retracing Maul's steps. I would surmise he went to ther bottom of the shaft, recovered that half of Maul's lightsaber, maybe had a glimpse of Maul's rotting legs and went, "it's a clue!" and then went on to the next part of the hunt.

I really just hate the character of Savage Opress and there's no way around it.

The Obi-Wan/Maul stuff looked pretty good, but I'm not loving Witwer's Maul voice. Although I haven't even watched Brothers yet, so we'll see.

Yeah...just skip that one Garth. Nothing gets established, it's embarrassingly bad from start to finish. You will miss nothing by starting with Revenge.

Which makes me think, wouldn't Obi-Wan and the rest of the council be rummaging through the bottom of that pit like crazy after the Battle of Naboo?! I mean, they know that the body of a SITH LORD lies there, the sworn enemies of the Jedi Order, gone for a thousand years and now returned looking for vengeance. And they know there's still another out there. Wouldn't they be very eager to search his body for any evidence they could find that could help them track the other?

From the galaxy map that was designed (but not used) for Brothers, it looks like Savage could have made a stop on Naboo. The presumed starting point, at the top of the map, matches Dathomir's location and the second-to-last point (very) roughly approximates the location of Naboo. Compare to the Essential Atlas map.

I'd honestly rather have a vague explanation like that instead of some bloated survival mechanism he employed that wouldn't really make sense anyway.

    How did Maul poo?
Or was it "down the hatch, look out right now"?

    Seriously.
