Darth_Articulate, there are two distinct characteristics that are missing from all your examples. The offset faces and the red light separating the two faces.

The poster suggests that Luke Skywalker is on the dark side also.
Only Rey remained on the light side of the Force.
The last Jedi is Rey, not Luke Skywalker.
If you listen to the voice of Luke Skywalker from the official trailer of TLJ, Luke's voice does not sounds at all as the voice of a Jedi Master.
Also, Luke instructs Rey and Rey has a vision in which she sees both light and darkness.
The voice of Luke from the trailer sounds in the best case like the voice of a Force user which is now using both the light side and the dark side.
Also, it could be the voice of a Sith Lord.

 

I actually agree that the poster does imply evil Luke. Now that I see it I can't unsee it. Still, Rey can't be the last Jedi. She's not a Jedi. If you take Jedi Master Luke out of the equation and replace him with Darth Luke, who is going to teach Rey to be a Jedi?

Wouldn't *genuinely dark* Luke NOT be something you suggest on a teaser poster if you're gonna do that?

I would love to be able to look at all those posters. I love movie posters lol especially teaser ones because they're usually more interesting and creative than "all the characters photoshopped together" theatrical ones

 

Posters should not be read too much into. That said, I've never seen anyone look more evil on the poster than Luke. He's the Evil Incarnated.
