While rewatching the Younglings Arc this week, and enjoying it much more the second time around, was delighted by Master Yoda's quote in this scene:
"The Force made physical, a Jedi is."
Why did you bold those letters?
Good observation. Not sure? That's a habit I started a few years ago, and sometimes it manifests here on the Boards.
Please mentally read it without the bold letters...if you prefer.
Beyond style, what did you think of the content of Yoda's quote?
(notice no bold letters in that question )
I have no idea what to think of it.
There are many different philosophies surrounding the Force. Those who follow the Living Force, such as Qui-Gon, believe that you should "listen" to the will of the Force, and give yourself over to it, live completely in the moment.
Others, such as the original not bat-**** crazy Barriss Offee believed in the Unifying Force - a single entity that had no light and dark, but that encompassed everything. Thus, one is able to look into the future and affect things.
Whether the Force is an actual being and has it's own wills and desires, we don't know and likely never will. The conception of Anakin Skywalker lends some credence to that, however. No matter how you look at it, a sentient being that is able to manipulate and use the Force can be considered to be the Force made manifest. That's likely what Yoda is referring to.
I didn't realize people made a habit of randomly bolding certain letters while typing.
Apparently it's the hip new thing kids do in 2014. Sure it takes a bit of extra effort, but it's well worth it! I hear the next big craze is randomly using italics on letters and even underlines.
What happened to the Bonus Materials thread? Was there ever a solid resolution as to where/when/how the material was going to be released?
Finally some good news
Not good news.
Would you rather have no resolution at all?
This is extremely good news! We get a resolution to Darth Maul we wouldnt have otherwise had!
I rather watch it then read it.
So they're leaving the finale to the reborn Maul storyline...to the comics that originally resurrected him? Heh.
Sounds cool, though, so I'll be reading. I really hope they kill him in this. And Talzin while they're at it. Might as well take out two evil birds with one stone.
I'm telling you guys, we will see Maul as a baker in VII
I'm still perplexed about Sidious' lines at the end of "The Lawless". The way the comic synopsis reads, the only "plans" Sidious has for Maul is detention. Not exactly gripping storytelling.
It'll be interesting to see how Maul would escape Sidious's detention to go work for Mother Talzin.
It would have been nice to have seen this arc on screen but if I have to take it via comic to get some resolution with Maul's story I'll take it. I'd like him dead by the end. I'm disappointed with the synopsis so far. I would have liked direct follow up on what's going on with Mandalore after the fire set to it when last we left. But I guess at this point Maul's storyline no longer intertwines anyways.
I'm sure Maul escapes when a guard goes full stupid.
And how exactly will that be a conclusion the the series?
"Don't worry, I'm not going to kill you. I have other uses for you. See, I have this really nice detention cell in the basement of the Senate building all ready for someone, but nobody to put there... it's really been bugging me."
What if there is some FUBAR twist, like say... it's revealed that Palps and Talzin were together at one time, and Maul is actually their son?
Are the terms "snivvian" and/or "Ithorian" ever used in TCW?
Palps and Talzin doing the nasty, EWWW!!!
