Full Series Official "The Clone Wars" Series Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

Well, looks like that's another book to add to my list.

 

Blu-rays, people, get the Blu-rays.

 

I still need to get the Blu Rays of the main 6 films. My DVDs still work though lol. I would not mind having a Clone Wars-Rebels complete set.

 

I remember, when I watched Season 5, Episode 20, where it turns out that Bariss Offee betrayed the Jedi and is responsible for the explosion at the Temple; I thought, we never get to see the reaction of Luminara Unduli to all this. Bariss was her Padawan, they were very close, it seemed to me. Would have been nice to see more of how this all affected Luminara.

But, anyway, very nice show, over all, IMHO

 

That takes place before Episode 2 right?

Yep. It was a prequel novel for Episode II in a similar way to "Cloak of Deception" being the prequel novel for Episode I and "Labyrinth of Evil" for Episode III.

 

And it was torturously slow and dull.

 

Did they ever make action figures of Clone Wars characters?

 

Yes they did. I'm no expert on the collecting front but I have Obi-Wan and Clone Trooper figures from when the TCW movie came out. I also remember seeing Ahsoka figures in some shops.

 

They made a ton of Clone Wars figures and vehicles back in the day. This set remains my all-time favorite.

Why are there 2 different Clone War animated series? The second version has more complex animation, that looks more 3 dimensional. In the banner for this sub-forum, there are 2 pictures from the earlier series. It's about in the middle of the banner, Anakin and Padme kissing and just below that, a picture of Yoda.

POSSIBLE SPOILER, because I'm asking something about a specific episode. But I will keep it as vague as possible.




In the second series, when Anakin, ObiWan and Ahsoka go to Mortis. Did Anakin block out the vision he had after they left? I was watching this on netflix last night, and we lost the internet connection. I didn't get to finish it.

Anakin has his mind wiped by the Father before the episode ends, so he remembers nothing of the vision caused by the Son.

The first Clone Wars animated show was 2D, as was produced by Genndy Tartavosky in 2003, between AOTC and ROTS, to 'bridge' the two films.

Later, George Lucas wanted to make his own Clone Wars show, and wanted to pioneer 3D animation, which started in 2008.

 

What's the last episode in which Ahsoka is referred to as Snips?

Probably the Wrong Jedi, when Anakin asks her to rejoin the Jedi: "They're asking you back, Snips."

 

I think that line ended with Ahsoka, not Snips.

The last time I think was in the same episode, in the Chamber of Judgment: “I’m sorry Snips, I just don’t know what to do”.

 

I just re watched the Clovis arc because I couldn't realremember much about it. I felt sorry for Clovis. He was just trying to do the right thing and he got duped by Dooku so that Palpatine ends up with full control of the banks.

I find all the politics episodes to be interesting because nearly all of them involve Palpatine secretly manipulating everything to his advantage and it's fascinating to watch. Anyone else feel the same way about them?
