Full Series Official "The Clone Wars" Series Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

I remember the days of standalone episodes.

 

Oh wait, not Clovis, the last non-4 part arc was the 2 part Disappeared arc.

 

Can I just say I'm amazed this thread is still getting updated? I mean the show is deader than dead at this point. It's commendable, in a way.

 

Your in the wrong thread. Your looking for the Arcs that were not thread.

 

I'm pretty sure both there are both PT and OT threads in the film forums still going, and those movies are at least two decades old.

 

Also by that logic why do we talk about anything that happens in the past?

And TCW was also good so I don't see where's the problem at seeing this thread updated. It means people still care about that show. There's many completed shows (even the cancelled ones I might add) whose fanbase are still quite active today.

TCW is the edgy teenager of TV shows. At least Rebels doesn't pretend it's not a kids show.

Meh, I like both. When I like something, I never really think about which is better than the other. I just like them for different reasons. It doesn't have to be a competition.

 

I agree I was quoting more for Imnotastarwarsfanboy’s opinion.

 

It has spectacular set pieces and occasionally witty character banter. Then you get a Mortis arc or Droids arc or 4 episodes on Jedi younglings or Jar Jar as a recurring side character with a terrible voice actor. In trying to cater to everyone, it catered to no-one except Peter Pans and teenage nerds who were going to watch it anyway because it has Star Wars plastered all over it. Oh, and even that didn't stop it from losing its target audience and underperforming in merchandise sales.

Not really looking to do a full comparison since that's still not allowed on here, just an observation.

What is a Peter Pan in terms of a fan?

 

Personally, the fact that TCW has so much diversified stories and point of views is one of its biggest appeal to me. On the other hand, Rebels is much more focused on a small cast which can be good or bad when I feel it focus too much on a couple of characters for too long.

 

PT movies were good?

 

Or when they seem to be side characters in their own story.

 

Better than TCW

 

I think they were good, especially Rots and AotC, not that I dislike TPM but it suffers from the same problem I had with the first movie in trilogies
