As do I, however I feel that the movie so far has been an excellently done.

The book will always be better, but the movie was awsome!

I've yet to see a movie that outdoes the original book. Perhaps it may do something better(such as the presentation of Boromir in FotR), but as a whole, the books are always better.

Wow, I can't believe that Peter Jackson actually traveled back in time to Middle Earth to record all of that stuff. Amazing what you can do with technology these days. Just amazing...

Sean Bean was simply amazing as Boromir. He should win some kind of award...

FotR deserved a lot more awards than it got, unfortunately.

A beatiful mind shouldn't have gotten so many awards. It wasn't even that great.

The only reason they gave A Beautiful Mind an award is because they dissed Russell Crow and Gladiator the prior year.

And because the Academy likes dramas and dislikes fantasy movies.

It's true, FoTR deserved many awards it did not get! Def should have won Best Picture...

Also, I think that with the other two coming out, many of the voters felt it would eventually recieve it's due, which it better...

Mayhaps. Or we're just in for another two disappointing years with both Two Towers and RotK getting a lot of nominations and very few awards.

If the voters have any idea of what they're doing, they'll make sure that PJ and crew recieve their due...

Star Wars deserved much more recognition as well. Hopefully, people will warm up to TTT.

Something that has really made me angry about TTT is all these people going around kicking and screaming that PJ is trying to cash in on September 11th with his title!

What foolishness! It came out so many years before! Please stop your whining!!!

It isn't PJ's title. It's Tolkien's titile and he came up with it half a century before 911 happened. Not to mention it is Twin Towers not The Two Towers. Dumb common folk...

Actually, Tolkien didn't come up with the title, his publisher did. He never liked it himself, but accepted it so LotR could be published.

I believe that Tolkien originally wanted to publish it as one book, but the publisher broke it up into three so the profit margin would be much greater.

The publisher was also wary of publishing a 1000+ page novel about Elves, Goblins and Dwarves and Hobbits...remember, this was 1954, before very long books were in fashion.

I read a biography on Tolkien for English in 7th grade. He was definately a weirdo.

    A genius, though!
