I have an Apex DVD player and I am having a hard time trying to access that dancing Yoda easter egg. I have been going to the Options section and highlighting the THX logo and pressing 1, 1, 3, and 8 but its not working right. Whenever i press 8 it just takes me to that stupid THX test

We need to compile all these into one thread, so this one will be Official.

That 1138 thing isn't working for me, either. I've tried the +10 thing, too. Ah well.

What do you mean by 11? I have tried all combinations on my Apex DVD player.

    I have tried these

    Goto + 8 = doesn't work

Highlighting THX logo and pressing 10+ and one of the 1,1,3,9 numbers wont work either. Maybe the easter egg is on DIsc 2 cause I have been trying to find it on Disc 1 and its not on there

One way is to read your instructions for your DVD player on how to access the Title function. On my DVD Remote I have to press the Info button twice this highlights the Chapters(when the movie is playing) then select the button left of the enter or OK button and highlight the title number. Then press the number 3. That works for me.

    It is on Disc 1.

    From the Options screen:

    Press 10+ then 1, wait a second, press 3, wait a second, press 8.

I've got it in my PC right now. Anybody know how to access it on a DVD-ROM?

I've seen the clip online yet I still can't figure out how to get it on the actual DVD. Aaaarrrggggghhhh!

Anybody get it to work on a PS2?

are you in the options section? That's where you have to be! Anyways shouldn't this be in the established DVD information thread?

I had trouble too, but what I did was press 1 and waited until the selection dissappeared off the screen, then repeated the same for the rest of the numbers. It took about 3 seconds for each number, but that's how it worked on mine. I wish some clever fan would make a DVD of all the easter eggs from both trilogies (trilogys?) (sp?) and perhaps lump the easter eggs with Beneath The Dome or something.

Yep. Its in the Video_TS folder, file VTS_03_1.VOB on disk 1. With the proper codecs, even windows media player will play it.

Does the Easter Egg work on R2 versions of the DVD?

and is there a gag-reel anywhere on the dvd, like there was with Episodes I & II?

    Ok, I eventually found it.
I coudn't get it to work on the PS2.
    Nor using Windows Media.
Using WinDVD 4, highlighting THX in the option menu, and then 11 wait til the numbers vanish, 3 wait again, and finally 8.
I also tried accessing the file itself, but couldn't get that to work.

So it does exist on the Region 2 version.

Is this really the only egg?

    I can't believe they haven't done a gag reel :-(

You need to have the right video codecs installed to have windows media player (or other players) play it. Google for and install one of the free K-Lite codec paks.

For Sony players - go into the OPTIONS section. Press 11, then ENTER then 3 Enter and 8 Enter. It should work. Also works this way on Panasonic players.

    1. go to options menu

    2. go to the THX, do not click on it

    3. hit 10+1

    4. the instant John Williams' score cues on again -- hit 3

    5. the instant John Williams' score cues on again -- hit 8

And enjoy alittle rap and dance number Yoda performs with a gang of clone troopers looking on.
