*OFFICIAL THREAD* ROTS DVD Information

I'm not surprised, though, that Lucas forgot about the lightsaber(and most likely Leia's memory of Padmé). He simply got carried away with the story at hand and didn't think about little details that don't have anything to do with the drama in ROTS.

That seems to be at odds with Lucas' blather about it being all one story. And I wouldn't call plot points that address links between the Skywalker children and their parents (let alone story continuity) "Little details".

 

They remembered in time, and put it in. No harm, no foul.

 

It ok for Lucas to leave some to the imagination. It really is. For those who think every nook-n-cranny has to be explained.

 

Jedibri is correct, and besides it's actually quiet logical that Leia is more connected to Padme and Luke is more connected to Anakin. And since they are both Force sensitive, Leia remembers Padme through the Force.

So does anyone know if any retailers are offering a slipcase? I thought I saw someone mention KMart might have one.

 

I have not bought it yet but I'm going to buy it later today along with Battlefront 2.

 

Looks like the cheapest place to buy it is Circuit City. $14.99. That's where I'm going.

Those were some great deleted scenes on the DVD, some of them were really awesome!

It was $19.99 at our Target. Guess I'll go to Best Buy or Circuit City at lunch.

 

I got back to my humble abode at about 12:30 last night after a nice not quite party but still hangout time with some new fan acquaintances... our Wal-Mart was particularly slow at getting the DVDs out, not that there was a rush seeing as there were at max only about 10 of us... exciting times though. Got to share the experience with a non-fan. Watched the deleted scenes first. Wish they had made all the animatics movie quality. Also wish there was an option to include them with the film itself. Liked some, but not all of those scenes. Admittedly my hopes were high on that account so I was minorly disappointed. Haven't watched any of the other special features. Only watched the movie once thusfar, bringing the total count to 21. Good stuff. I'll watch the documentaries this weekend.

remember some people saying that lucas had come up with a way for the dvds to read that, which would "blow our mind away"....

anyone figured out if its true or not yet, i haven't....

also how do you get dancing yoda, i know you do +>10 1138, but at what screen....

 

Highlight the THX logo in the Language section, then press 11, enter/play, 3, enter and 8 enter and the Yoda rap should come up.

The Region 1 DVD might have Options instead of Language - I believe that's what was on the two other prequel Region 1 DVDs.

 

I apologize if this has been discussed, but are there any differces between the dvd version and the theatrical version?

Hmmmm, i didnt see an ad. It was just marked as $19.99 on the display. I need to pick up the new Duran Duran concert video anyway and Target didn't have that, so no biggie. I did find a new action figure while I was there.

 

None that I noticed on first viewing.

 

It was $19.96 at my local Walmart. I feel like I have been ripped off, but at the same time, I prolly would have paid more!
