WOW. Check out the bottom right pic on the back.

Grievous with his arms split and four sabers!

    Can we say "confirmed" now?

It's a good sign, but not confirmation. The toys aren't confirmation. These are done very early while filming is still taking place and the final design can change.

Someone must have told them that his arms split if they made the figure. I doubt that they'd cut it out and yet still release the 4 saber Grievous figure. That figure is MONEY. Even RM said that the new bad guy was going to be a great action figure.

We need a high-rez of the back of Obiwan's card. We have to see if Grievous 4 saber action figure comes with arms that fall off. It was a huge AotC spoiler to me when Hayden was on the Tonight show a week before AotC came out and Jay was buggin him because his action figure's arm kept falling off. Jay had the action figure on the show and proved it but Hayden just smiled and didn't say anything. I asked myself "Why would his arm fall off unless it was done on purpose?" Hence when AotC came out, I knew that somewhere in the movie Anakin was going to lose an arm.

Toys are spoilers even if they are just toys.

I tend to agree, If grevious dosnt split his arms i for one am gonna wonder why hes so special. Four sabers is his only selling point in my book, otherwise he is just a disposable character that could have been replaced by any number of other things. Also remember the much talked about Grevious image in the OS databank shows Three sabers in his cloak pocket. Dont know why anyone would need more than two, and even then its obvious that two sabers, dual bladed saber or standard saber it all comes down to the users skill..... unless he had more than two arms.

I think Obi-wan gets his OT saber from Grievous, after losing the PT one. :) That would be cool. Grievous has the sabers of the jedi he killed, so I think obi will get one of those.

Looks like the Grievous toy slits arms only up to the elbow. This is different than the grievous HS signup pic (the comic drawing with the blue background) that shows Grievous arms being able to split all the way up to the shoulder.

I'm going into some serious debt come April 2005. =P~

I just noticed that this time around, the Emperor's lightning shoots out instead of looking like some electrical spark thingy. It reminds me of all the Jedi figures and their Force Push action from AotC. Could this be for Sids to "Push" Mace with the lightning? Possibly out a window?

I was noticing the hole on the end of it and thinking it could easily wrap around a figure's neck. If it didn't say "Firing Force Lightning" on the package, I'd have to guess that he uses the Force Choke on someone.

    Back of R4-G9's figure card.

    http://www.rebelscum.com/toys2004/rotsSPr4g9.jpg

R4-G9 is an astromech droid that accompanies Obi-Wan Kenobi to the sinkhole planet of Utapau, where Obi-Wan hopes to destroy General Grievous, the Surpreme Commander of the Separatist droid armies.

On the back of R4-G9 it says "where Obi-wan hopes to DESTROY General Grievous" So I guess he isn't sent there to bring him back to Coruscant, and his death with the blaster isn't accidental, Obi-wan really is there to kill him.

    On Mace's card back:

"Place lightning on shoulder. Squeeze legs together to throw off lightning!"

    Interesting.

EDIT: Hmm... That is the TPM/AOTC saber that Obi-Wan's holding.
