Any way to find a large sized, high res picture off the IMAX standees? Looks like they are based on the concept poster art we saw a while back on MSW (minus Snoke).

 

I see online everyone keeps asking why isn't Snoke on the TLJ posters.

I keep saying more than likely he'll loom large over the Episode IX posters

Found this edited version of the Japanese poster. Hands down, this is my number one design for the film.

 

Did not like this fan edit, Luke should never be smaller than anyone in a Star Wars poster, except for Vader.

 

Interesting how they market it in different cultures, the Japanese change Rey from a combatant to a character of mystery and intrigue. Check out that light behind Rey on the IMAX, could Finn have a lightsaber?

 

I don't know why I find it interesting that in the Japanese poster Luke is holding Anakin's saber.

 

I think the poster with Luke holding the saber may be the best one. Love it.

 

Yeah, it's awesome. It's balanced nicely. Rey as the main character with Luke and Kylo opposed to each other.

 

Star Wars Japan also revealed today this official set of promotional images, side by side (they are hammering hard on the symbolic symmetry and contrast):

In case anyone is curious, here is the backside of the official TLJ movie leaflet in Japan (the front is a picture of the official poster).



Text only talks about Rey, Kylo and Luke. And porgs too. Because that’s important.

But not one single line about the Resistance or any of its characters’ roles in the movie.

Really disappointing. It’s not like they did this for the other two movies, but this time they chose to promote TLJ as if it’s solely about the Force journey of three characters (and porgs).

 

The Japanese poster, where Rey is the biggest and in the middle has to be my favorite so far. It has great symmetry.
