If you try playing Halo on Heroic or Legendary you will see why tit is such a great game. You will really have to use your noodle to defeat the enemies. Great AI on Legendary.

By the way, Obi-Wan is suprisingly fun. It looks pretty crappy in places and Obi-wan's voice over is horrible, but is simply fun to play. The lightsaber controls are great and they can only get better with the Episode II games.

 

Good review Dan. I guess I don't have a whole lot to add to that. Anyone else here have Halo and a Broadband connection so we can play Multiplayer?

 

Damn - had a muck about on a production X-Box for the first time recently - damn they're big {and the buggers pulled down the mem spec at the last minute - not happy bout that are we} .

Looks good, plays well and set's us up for X-Box 2 - Microsofts new 'box in every home' flag carrier!

Jeez - I remember when this was still in design stage - those halcyon days!

 

Well I got my Xbox two weeks ago and all I have to say is FINALLY there is a game console that a PC hardware nut like myself can appreciate. The incorporation of Nvidia's XGPU and new Nforce chipset was a very smart move by Microsoft. Nothing can touch the rendering capabilities of this machine. One thing that really impressed me was the superior anti-aliasing of the images on the screen. Lines were very straight rather than having a stair step look to them (jaggies), even at low TV resolutions. Many people complain about the size of the controller and I can understand that if you are already used to a Nintendo/Playstion. I personally like the controller. Don't get me wrong I would kill for a shot at Halo with a keyboard and mouse.
I have only came across one game title that I thought was lack luster Dave Mirra's BMX.
I have Halo, Starfighter SE and Munch's Oddessey and have played EVO 4x4, Obi-wan, SSx Trickey and Project Gotham racing. All of which are great games.
Don't believe all of the bad Obi wan reviews out there. If you are a SW fan you will love it.
I don't think console gaming will ever eaqual PC gaming but the Xbox has surely raised the bar.

There's instructions there. Basically you need Broadband, a network card for your pc, an ethernet hub/switch, and cable to hook your X-Box to your hub/switch.

 

So, is the X-box good?
I was gonna get it, but it lost the coin toss.

 

I personally don't like the X-Box's controllers; they're just too awkward, especially when playing Halo. Give me GameCub or N64 any day.

 

Love my X-box. And as a normal adult male, i find the contorlers perfect. There sturdy, unlike the GC and hard to break(it never creeked in my hand) and the spacing is perfect that you not hitting like 4 buttons at one time, or putting you hands in some weird ass postion just to use it right.

Anyone know the invinciblity cheat for Starfighter SE? I already beat it, I just want invicibility to use with the Sith Infiltrator.

 

We really need to start getting more people to buy the X-box, I would hate for it to end up like Dreamcast...or should I say the worst investment I've made to date.

The Box has so much power, and all these X-Box haters are jelous!!! Oh well.

I wouldn't say the DC is a bad investment. Just look at all of the great games that are out for it. And you can play online too. However I was gonna play Bomberman Online yesterday, but no one else was in the servers.

Has anyone played Halo or THPS2X online yet? I'd be interested in a game sometime.
