Naw, I've just been in a crappy mood today. Ender can keep his spot.

Pete, the personal rancor reflected in that remark I don't intend to dignify with comment. But I would like to address your general attitude of hopeless negativism. Consider the lilies of the goddamn field.

If anything, beez is good for taking on the role of Eris and chucking a golden apple in here, often right when it is needed. Quite liberating, IMO.

I want beezel to be in the wrong more than I want to admit to liking the film, so I'm gonna say it sucked

O Brother, where art thou? is one of my all-time favorite films. Saw it three times in the theatre, and truly enjoyed this. Yes, it's highly quotable, and extremely well-done. I actually bought & listened to the superb soundtrack prior to watching the film (the great soundtrack is actually what made me want to see the movie).

That all being said, IMHO this film is not quite as good as the Coen Bros' masterpiece, 1998's "The Big Lebowski".

The first sentence would be stronger with a colon instead of comma.

I will ask this only once: please do not derail this thread with petty posts about grammar.

Wouldn't we look like a bunch of Johnny-come-latelies, bragging on our own midget. Don't matter how stumpy.

Even more so that a random thread about O Brother, Where Art Thou? appeared here, rather than popping up in Comms...

I should point out that the people singing "down to the river to pray" were church members going to be baptized. The wet t-shirt contest is a separate incident with the three sirens who sing a different song, Didn't Leave Nobody But the Baby.
