I first heard of them on the Garden State soundtrack. They sing the song "In the Waiting Line". I love that song like all the songs on that soundtrack, but I haven't heard anything else by them. I would though.

Yeah! When I saw that movie, I felt all hip because I knew that band already. Anyway, they have really amazing albums--many different kinds of songs on each one. And they get a special award from me because I can listen to their albums ALL the way through and not get bored. Pretty rare! GO Zero 7, go!!

I will then check them out. I'll see if they are available on iTunes. My music store of choice because it works so handy dandy with my iPod go figure.

Back to the topic of work. I failed to mention that....drum roll.... I didn't go today.

See what they get those meanies! Work me to death will they. I just won't go in anymore. That will teach them.

I coughed way too much yesterday while there and they told me not to come back and get them sick. So I took them up on the offer and stayed home.

Yea! (sort of...) Get better. Maybe you should shut your door so the rat (the dog) can't come pee/crap in your room. Bacteria can make you ill. (mmm, what a lovely thought!)
My ankles are sore from workin' 8 hours today and not sitting as much as usual. I'm working tomorrow too, but only 5 1/2 hours at Godiva.

SR, I'm sorry you are still ill. I want to be sick and stay home also but alas it is not to be. Fortunately there's only one more day and tomorrow is BSG to boot!

I'm going to work today. I'm going to work today. My throat is still scratchy and I'm sure talking all day isn't going to help but if I can just hang in for two more days all will be fine.

Oh and on JB's recommendation, I bought Zero 7 from iTunes and I do love that type of music. It makes me want to sit at the back of a smoky room and chill.

I am sitting at my desk and I'm bored. Everyone has gone to meetings but me. I am not going to start anything until they get back. I'm just going to sit here and type stuff. Lots of stuff. Stuff you will want to read. Stuff that will impress you and make you think WOW that's so cool.

Now what should I say?.... .... .... Ok forget that boring conversation anyway.

I'm going to play some online games.

I'm glad it doesn't make you want to sit at the back of a chilly room and smoke!

Haw-haw, I crack myself up. Glad you like the Zero 7!! They have two albums and both are good.

I just thought of a complaint, and realized I'm not in the correct thread for it....

DH, that sounds like what I had/have. I have no advice but to see a doctor. I didn't, and I wish I had seen one earlier.

JB, it's so hot I would like a chilly room. Seriously and I do mean seriously, I love that kind of music. It puts me in a good mood. I feel very groovy and stuff.

I hope you feel better soon, SR. Being sick is a bummer. I don't think I'm going to get sick after all. I think my immune system is kicking shins.

You work at Godiva, ES? I'd get fat. Waaay fat. Meesa like chocolate...especially dark.

I love the GardenState soundtrack. Not a bad movie either.
So it's friday and I don't like them because I don't get the weekend off.

    Poor SR. :(

APL, if you don't eat any regular food while you're there, you can only eat so much chocolate (5 pieces or so) before getting a sugar headache, so it's not so bad. If you eat regular food too, hopefully then since you're not hungry you'll only have a couple pieces. But yeah, that and all the ice cream my parents always have is taking its toll. :/

    SR, hope you feel better!

Which Zero 7 album did you buy on iTunes. You should know better than that. With 700+ albums at my disposal all you have to do is ask Lord Maximus and he will make you a copy of the first Zero 7 album for your listening pleasure!

I'm just pasting an email I got from a co-worker. I can relate to every one of these items. I've edited them for placement here:

    1. BLAMESTORMING:
Sitting around in a group, discussing why a deadline was missed or a
project failed, and who was responsible.

    2. SEAGULL MANAGER:
A manager, who flies in, makes a lot of noise, craps on everything, and
    then leaves.

    3 A$$MOSIS:
The process by which some people seem to absorb success and advancement
by kissing up to the boss rather than working hard.

    4. SALMON DAY:
The experience of spending an entire day swimming upstream only to get
screwed and die in the end

    5. CUBE FARM:
    An office filled with cubicles.

    6. PRAIRIE DOGGING:
When someone yells or drops something loudly in a Cube farm, and
people's heads pop up over the walls to see what's going on.

    7. MOUSE POTATO:
The on-line, wired generation's answer to the couch potato.

    8. SITCOMs:
Single Income, Two Children, Oppressive Mortgage. What yuppies turn into
when they have children and one of them stops working to stay home with
    the kids.

    9. STRESS PUPPY:
A person who seems to thrive on being stressed out and whiny.

    10. SWIPEOUT:
An ATM or credit card that has been rendered useless because the
magnetic strip is worn away from extensive use.

    11. XEROX SUBSIDY:
Euphemism for swiping free photocopies from one's workplace.

    12. IRRITAINMENT:
Entertainment and media spectacles that are annoying but you find
yourself unable to stop watching them. The J-Lo and Ben wedding (or not)
    was a prime example.

    13. PERCUSSIVE MAINTENANCE:
The fine art of whacking the crap out of an electronic device to get it
    to work again.

    14. ADMINISPHERE:
The rarefied organizational layers beginning just above the rank and
file. Decisions that fall from the adminisphere are often profoundly
inappropriate or irrelevant to the problems they were designed to solve.

    15. 404:
Someone who's clueless. From the World Wide Web error message "404 Not
Found," meaning that the requested document could not be located. (For
those in Toronto, it's also Hwy 404... destination can not be located.)

    17. OHNOSECOND:
That minuscule fraction of time in which you realize that you've just
    made a BIG mistake.

    18. WOOFS:
    Well-Off Older Folks

That's funny JR. Especially the first few that deal with work. Speaking of, I have to call and cancel this meeting with this producer because he isn't getting what he was promised and it isn't up to me to tell him that, but the President of Production but the president hasn't told him that yet so I can't break the news to him so I must cancel this meeting because blah blah blah blah.

Kill me now! I'm in a class that will last forever. The funny thing is it is a class on workplace violence (hence the ha ha with regard to killing). Any way, it's going to last ALL DAY. OH MY GOSH! She's going over every point. What would take me 5 minutes to read she's taking half an hour to go over! ARGHHHH!
