All the ANH novel has to say about the Whills is that the rise of the Empire preface is "From the Journal of the Whills," so in other words, nothing.

BTW, this isn't the right thread, but as far as the "canonicity" of the novelizations, here's a quote from the ANH novel, Kenobi speaking:

"'Vader used the training I gave him and the forces within him for evil, to help the later corrupt Emperors.'"

That's right- Emperors- as in more than one. Yeah, you could justify the quote by saying Kenobi meant the later Supreme Chancellors, or maybe clone bodies of Palpatine a la Dark Empire, but the fact remains that this is a glaring error in the novelizaion.

typo most likely. In starfighters of adumar, near the end of the book someone calls adumar, aduma. now that was a glaring error.

He's a Sith (I am aware that there already is a species called the Sith but can't there be two?)

They have kept the name of their species secret because of fear that it would prevent them from becoming Jedi.

    The Cat...
""'Vader used the training I gave him and the forces within him for evil, to help the later corrupt Emperors.'"

Well, that's it then, Dark Empire is canon. No Wonder George liked it so much.

But, you have to remember canon is not one thing - it is a heirarchy. However, there's not been any error, because thus far the movie hasn't shown there to not be Emperors (plural). They haven't shown that there is, but no contradictions/errors yet.

Yoda is a Gremlin just like poor little Gizmo only yoda used the force to enhance his body so he could come outside by day and touch water without getting killed or creating more gremlins!

"... to help the later corrupt Emperors."

    1. It's a typo - odds: 1-1
    2. Dark empire is canon - odds: 1-20
    3. The emperor is a clone of Palpatine - odds: 1-10 ?

Did something happen during the clone wars? ;-)

He's a midichlorian that escaped it's owners body and grew into Yoda, then later he mutliplied making Yoddle.

    Funny I am not, yes.

For some reason I had a dream on this and I was looking at a map and on the map was this planet called, Ywraddle. Plus I had this feeling that Yoda's species was from here. Weird. I'm going to freak out if this is true or close to it.

    On the Emperors thing:

I remember hearing somewhere (I have an excellent memory for trivia, but I can never remember where I heard it) that the Palpatine that we all see in ROTJ is a clone of the Palpatine we see in TPM, that using the Dark Side so bad like rotted his body completely away, so he had to do the clone trick we see in DE.

Just something I remember from my early SW-manic days

Cmdrmitt., right you are! From Ywraddle Yoda was. From Ywraddle I am too. Jedi you must be, hmm? Dreams, visions you have!

    Hehe, gotcha! well, not really.
Anyway, I think Yoda is the last of an extinct species. Possibly the Whills, but I think some other species.

You guys are over looking Yaddle. She is whatever Yoda is.
I think Yaddle was a big mistake because Yoda should be the only "ugly green thing".
