Okay, so it's not a Lightsaber, but...

There are less than 100 days to go before the ROTS opening, and so it's high-time I get started on my Jedi Robes. I got my first sewing machine this year for Christmas (thanks mom! ) and I've managed to complete a couple of really simple beginner projects before diving into this one...

Here is the beginning stages of my robes:

Polyester Padawan: The Muslin

It's been a week of trial-and-error, but I've made it this far without becoming totally discouraged and overwhelmed, so that's a good sign! We've bought the fabric for me to start on my husband's robes, so I'll start on that next week.

I'd like to hear what y'all think!

Looks great so far. I was lucky enough to have my wife and mother-in-law sew mine.
