Okay so....

I try to sign on as a sock. No big deal, right? WRONG. I get on there and find a PM to this name (Fire_Ice_Death) that I'd already read. But the kicker is it still says I'm logged onto this name (FID). Uhmmm....can anyone tell me what's wrong? Is the JC on the browser I'm using, possessed?

Did you make sure you clicked "Logoff" before signing back in with your sock username/password?

It takes some time for each name to actually be logged off. If you check the users online list after you manually log off, you're still on it for quite some time.

KW, that's incorrect. The Users Online page actually shows all people who have logged in within the last thirty minutes.

Ah....okay, and yes, I clicked log off. Which unfortunately it didn't do. But I have this PM that I'd already read, and it says that it's new. It logs onto the sock, but when I open my PM's it says I'm logged on as FID.

It could be a cache thing. Have you tried logging off and re-starting your computer? When you come back to the Forums, log in as your sock from the start. See if that works.

I think my sock hates me. But I looked in my PM's and it says I have a new one there. But I already read it. Now it's doing it on both names. Man, this sucks.

Do you have another browser you could try? If you are using Explorer, for example, try it in Netscape or some other browser.

Is your "you have mail" light stuck on, on? If they're stuck on, on mode, PM me your sock name, and I'll send it a PM to shut it off. I'm going to send you a PM to shut off your FID mail light.

EDIT. Well, did it work? is your mail light off for user FID?

I don't use any other browser. Unfortunately. And what exactly are you talking about mac-nut? No wonder they refer to Microsoft and Microshaft. That's what it'll give ya. I'm trying to take this in the best way possible.

FID, I thought your "mail" light was stuck in the "on" mode, as in you have new mail. Am I wrong? if so, sorry. I thought your "new mail" light was stuck with no new mail to be read. Normally, that means your "new mail" light is just stuck, and a new PM jogs it into the "off" mode. I sent you a PM, in case your "new mail" light was stuck.

Okay, GS, I have your PM, but guess what? I can't see it. It says I have two PM's when I open it up it shows only the same one I've been seeing.
