I think we've forgotton one of the greats:

    The Pink Panther!!

And Roger Ramjet ("...he's our man, hero of out nation." :))

I miss Wallace and Ladmo. They showed the best cartoons, and I watched every morning before school.

That really must be an Arizona thing. I have no fricken clue who they where!

We had Tom Patten ever Sunday morning showing Popeye cartoons in California. Oh and though not Cartoon related, but Elvira was a So-Cal thing too. Every weekend showing LA only the best B-movies.

Kick (_|_)!!!! Those were great times in LA/SoCal.

DD, do you ever remember the memorial, labor, or thanksgiving marathons on Channel 13? Those were my favorite because they either had 3 stooges, Godzilla/Monster, or Kung Fu marathos. Those kicked major butt.

As far as Kirana_T's original question of what the Voltron team actually said it was:

    "Let's form Voltron!"

    "Form feet and legs,"
    "Form arms and body,"
    and then Keith would say,
    "And I'll form the head!"

That is if you are referring to the Voltron that had the 5 lions which I liked MUCH better than the other Voltron that they came up with!

When the voltron team finally decided on forming Voltron (usually after a severe @ss beating in there seperate lion components from the Ro-beast of the week) wasn't there something about connecting dynothrusters making megacondensers go (guess it ran on water). all kidding aside Voltron was on of my childhood favorites (it came on right after G.I. Joe) Talk about your hour of power.

Spiderman and his Amazing Friends (Ice Man and Firestar!!!! WOOHOO!!! Must add Firestar costume to list.) Followed by the Incredible Hulk. OH YEAH!!!! I LOVED those shows!!

And MJA totally took me on a trip down memory lane there...
**Rainbow Brite - hey, the movie ROCKED!! Yes... Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer **fond memories**
**JEM!!! GOOD LORD YES!!! JEM RULED!!! (I did sideshow's make-up "Jem-style" the other night :D )
    **He-Man **drools** OMG, I LOVE the new one... :D :D :D
    **She-Ra!!! YES!!!!

**steps up to soapbox** Gatchaman is the ORIGINAL 1970's title of said animé show. It was brought to the U.S. in the late 70's as Battle Of The Planets for a VERY short time, but then brought back during the early and mid 80's as G-Force. THEN (yeah, there's more) in the mid-90's, the creator decided to update the series, and produced 3 OVAs. These were released under the original Japanese title Gatchaman.

Confusing? hell yes. But Battle of the Planets is one of the first cartoons I ever remember watching, so I've kinda been obsessed with it throughout my whole life. [face_laugh] ;)

    **strolling down memory lane**

The good thing about the new DVD releases of the Battle of the Planets episodes is that they contain both the origianl Gatchaman and the Americanized Battle of the Planets (with the dreadful 7Zark7) versions. For a short time my person web page opened with the theme to Battle of the Planets. As a matter of fact I am going to go listen to it now.

In relation to The Real Ghostbusters cartoon...

Anyone who has done a little too much Call of Cuthulu Role playing, or anyone who knows "more than they should" about the occult and "monsters" might have realized how oddly accurate alot of the creatures in the cartoon were portrayed, summoned, etc

This was pointed out to me by a pagan/wiccan friend in NJ. He actually sited a few examples and it really made me think. Someone really did their research for just a cartoon.
