I know, but the visual is kinda a spoiler, the first that I have seen yet.

We need a spoiler of sort.

A spoiler from a certain point of view.

 

I'll wait for real spoilers before I go with someone's made up image to call it a spoiler. Besides, he's more likely to stick with his black robes IMO.. it's part of who he was as a jedi.

 

I hope at worst he goes with dark brown robes as opposed to black robes, that seems too darkside for my taste. That being said, I would love to see him in regular Jedi Master robes in Episode VII.

I hope Mark is rockin' the Kenobi beard, whatever color robes he's wearing. Like in the rabittooth attempt with old master Luke stalking in the woods.

But yeah, certainly not a spoiler.

I'd also like to see Luke in traditional Jedi robes. I always thought the whole point of him going black in ROTJ was to show that he was becoming more susceptible to the Dark Side, echoing (or echoed by) Anakin's move toward darker attire througout the PT.

Oh and I'd totally like to see Luke with the Obi-Wan beard as well.

 

That is a nightmare.

 

People are largely an image of their total experiences. This was a major life experience. I don't think he completely goes back to the happy go lucky kid he was on Tatooine. He will always have that mark of Vader in his soul. Which is why I would prefer the black robes.. or at least as was mentioned above by Jobertus - very dark brown robes.

 

I have fecal matter that matters more than these idiots.

 

If this was a real spoiler, good job on putting the it in the title right next to the word SPOILER. Just so we can't miss it even if we try.

 

No worries though, once real spoiler material is available, there will likely be a 7SA (Episode VII Spoilers Allowed) forum and 7NSA (Episode VII No Spoilers Allowed) forum.

 

That original image of Luke up there... That makes me think he COULD do this....although I'd think he'd look much better with a beard. And I'd prefer long hair-Obi-Wan Kenobi AOTC style...

 

This image more fits in line with what most of us hope to see.

I'd dye his hair and beard silver/gray as well to make him look older.

But, no, seriously. Leave him in this suit with those red eyes. "Does Luke Skywalker *look* like a b***h? Then why you gonna ****him like one?"

 

And some acting talent.

 

I think that's crazy. The biggest reason Yoda ever worked as a believable character (with all fair deference to Frank Oz's wonderful work) is because Mark Hamill took the leap and made us believe in The Empire Strikes Back, thus setting the stage for every future appearance of the diminutive Jedi Master.

And that's only one example. In my opinion, one can take issue with dialog and even choices made in tone and delivery, but to infer that the man lacks talent belies the 40 years he's put food on his table, at the very least.

 

I hope he has a beard in the film! Looks great, definitely gives him that wise look.

I don't want to see him in the old traditional robes though to be honest. What I would like is for the new Jedi to be a very different animal to those of the Old Republic. Less of a conservative monastic order and more open to new ideas and philosophies, as Qui-Gon was.
