Pre Ordered CE from Best Buy. Got the pre order code via email to get early game access. Now I have to upgrade my PC to handle playing the game, plus it was time to upgrade it. Most of the parts were 5+ yrs old including the video card.
Anyone else going to be playing SWTOR?

Hells yeah. The problem with living in Silverton is that you can only get decent internet in city limits. I get .38 megs!!!! I also need to get a pc that will make the game worthwhile. Although I do agree that it is going to be spendy to get going, there is still the fact that THIS IS GOING TO BLOW YOUR MIND and will be worth every credit. (See what I did there?)

I'm probably 6 months away from decent internet. woe is me

 

I'm always bogged down with money issues... and I want to go back to school to finish my degree. Ugh!

I dont know what Im going to do with this. I will have to spend way more than I would like to upgrade my stuff. Not to mention the game itself and the mo0nthly subscription.

This is the reason I failed at WOW and will probably be the case with TOR.

SWTOR is upon us for launch 12/20. Are you ready to play.
I just got my early Christmas present, a laptop that is smoking cool and is able to play SWTOR. Since I preordered the game, I'm able to play early access. I don't have 'net at home yet, but I was able to get on at a friends house and start my character's adventure as a Smuggler. I'm playing on RAKATA MIND PRISON (West coast)server if anyone else is able to play SWTOR, come join me. I'm Ceric.

The game has launched and imo is great. The are storylines for each character profession to follow, side missions, instances, crafting, scavenging...tons of stuff to do. While I'm not a big MMO player, I'm taking my time going through the game, learning the mechanics of my Smuggler Character, not being like some players who jam through the game just to get to the highest level. I do some missions in 10min while on break at work, during luch time, because I still don't have net at home, so my time is limited unless I go over to a friends house, then I've played 2-3hrs at a time which we group to get some of the harder missions done. Overall, it's a great game. A lot better than Galaxies.

I'd start playing, but then I'd probably get sucked in.
