i guess its basically the fear of the untouchable really, and having a moderator sex symbol would just be incredibly one sided, its sorta like when a very friendly, giant st bernard eats your tea, sure you are angry, but what are you going to do? the dog is friendly, and it is big enough to take you on should you get really angry, you end up sitting quietly on the sofa, hungry, gritting your teeth while the dog sits on your lap almost crushing you, and its warm, gravy smelling breath pervades your lungs, mocking your empty stomach
