He was just so perfect as John Coffey. And I remember his laugh in Armageddon.
RIP big guy!
The best thing that happened to DareDevil. I'm seriously bummed about this. Only 54.
Another big dude bites the dust. Sad news.
He was a really great actor. I loved a lot of his work, and it was my impression that he was a nice person in real life, as well. Honestly, though, I must regretfully admit that the first thing this thread brought to mind was the movie Daredevil.
I might have to finally see Daredevil just for him I guess.
This is incredibly depressing news.
Too many good guys gone here lately.
This is just terribly heartbreaking news. Aside from his fine work in Daredevil & The Green Mile, he had one of the more memorable side roles in Armageddon, a movie that's given me & my brother so much entertainment since '98.
Incredibly sad news. Far too young even at 54.
Soooooo unexpected. No idea he had had a heart attack.
And the much-maligned (though not completely terrible) Green Lantern.
Oh damn. Damn.
RIP big man.
Very unfortunate to hear. It may not be important, but with his death the vegetarian community has lost its toughest member. Too bad we won't be seeing an 80-year old Michael Clarke Duncan in movies. It would have been very interesting to see what future roles would have awaited him.
He seemed like an awesome guy. This is sad
Yes it was completely terrible.
This is very sad news. He was one of those actors who, when he took a role, I couldn't really think of anyone else who could replace him. Even in relatively small roles he generated a strong presence. Depressing.
