Ah, I was like that Martin. I just..didn't care anymore and became this really cold and distant person. People who'd tell me what I just told you....I hated them so much. I know there is no magic spell to make it all better, but please don't give up hope on finding someone.

 

Carleen, Bouke,I appreciate the uplifting words, but it's not really realistic for everyone.. I mean , all the people that end up alone don't all do so by choice. For some people it's just not in the cards.

Not saying that's necessarily true in my case; but judging by hwo things are going so far it could very well end up like that.

 

But, see, there's the thing: as soon as you give up hope: nothing will happen. Your heart is not in it anymore.

 

Please don't give up hope. In time the right person will appear when you least expect it. Yes, the past can be despressing but there is a future if you believe in it.

 

Yeah, well, I'll try to believe in it again when I'm actually able to. In say a few years.

Funny, because I happen to know that the story behind the origins of Tiramisu tells about a young lad who was lovesick. Then his mother made him a very special dessert, which is, as you might guess Tiramisu. After eating it, his lovesickness was over...
