On a scale of 1-10 (10 being best) what do you rate the Return of the King movie?

9, Everything else was great, but the ending was too slow and there was no Saruman.

 

I know. I also think it needed Gríma.

 

9. It was a little slow in places, and suffered from the lack of Christopher Lee.

The ending was too rushed.

 

The movie was awesome and I really enjoyed it..but it doesn't get a ten from me because it was (and the entire trilogy for that matter) just to darn long. I gave it a nine.

I gave it a 9. Great movie, by far the best in the LOTR trilogy.

I gave it a 9 because the ending was corny and there wasn't enough Legolas. (the latter part is the big reason though)

 

I'd give it a 9. No Christopher Lee, Aragorn's big speech lacking punch and an anti-climatic battle at the black gate keep it from a perfect 10.

9. I'm waiting for the EE, if they include major things they left out, then it'll get a 10, but it cut too much and was too short for my liking.

9, I guess. I'm really not a fan and I don't fall for the hype, and trying to read the first book was a chore. But this movie was a good. The only thing that annoyed me was the scene when Frodo was going to destroy the ring. That crawled a little too much.

 

Hands down, 10.

This was the best of the three. Cenematiclly, story wise. and the musical score by Howard Shore was absolutly fantastic.

I rate this movie as a 10

I'd rather a few things that were cut, kept in the movie, but they didn't make it any worse.

This is how epic movies should be made.

The ending was a little long for my tastes, but they kept them decent enough. The ending had to be done the way it was, no question.

 

I rated it a 9.
Excellent in many ways, but changes to the Crack of Doom scene really bothered me.
