I'm the new guy in the Fanclub and i was wondering how the rest of you would rate AOTC on a scale of 1 to 10 and why. Just humor me. Afterall, I am a Jedi Master!

On a scale of 1-10, I rate it as a 9. I love it and can't wait to see it again. I do see some room for improvement, but it was fantastic.

 

I give it a high 9. It now wins the top spot of my favorite Star Wars movie. I liked the story and the action. The ending was the best of any Star Wars movie in my opinion.

That way you'll never know the exact rating I give it, bwahahahahahahaha.

This rating would be true if the scale was from 1-4.

 

on a scale of 1-10......hmmm.....I'd give it an 11! AOTC had everything I needed for it to be the best star wars film so far, even beats Empire in my books.

 

Well, I'm sorry to be the one to break up the gushfest, but I'd give AOTC a 7. It was good enough to rank among the original trilogy films, but by no means was it better than Empire. Some of the performances were kinda forced, and I didn't buy the love story.

"I know we've been apart for the last ten years, and you just slaughtered those poor Tuskin Raiders and all, but I love you anyway."

 

I'll give it a 7.5 or maybe even an 8 it lacks many things but nothing stopped it from being what it should be A fun and entertaining movie and it had alot for the fans in it this time

 

I think that AOTC was a very good Star Wars movie. I thought it was better the TPM but I think that Episodes 4 5 6 had much beetter storyline. I guess I say this because Episodes 1 2 3 don't seem as unique because its an explanation of 4 5 and 6. It's still a fine movie. I give it a 9.

 

I would give it an 8.5. The only things keeping this from being a perfect 10 are some SFX shots looked poor, and the story was cut up too much. Leaving out some of the key scenes made it not flow right in parts of the film.

 

Well the first time I saw the movie (on film) I was pretty disapointed, enough so that I was considering TPM to have been a better movie. But I was recently in LA and I had the chance to see the movie in DIGITAL and let me tell you ... you have not experienced AOTC until you've seen it digital. For one the digital picture is AMAZING, and the digital sound is superb also. There were also extra scenes added to the digital version (the big war on geonosis etc) that helped smooth out the story and really seemed to make the plot easier to understand. If you guys get a chance to see the movie digitally, I highly recommend seeing it. The movie is very disapointing in film quality but in digital I give AOTC a 9.5 easily.

I agree with crutag - some of the scenes f/x could be better, like Anakin trying to ride that creature on Naboo. But I am very biased so I give it a 9.

 

i'd have to agree that some of the mix graphic action shots looked a bit cheesy, but i'd still rate around 9.5.

It's odd that you should see it in film since GL specifically mandated that all screenings should be digital only.
