HELLO H/L SHIPPERS!! Howsa Yousa doing?
Here goes my second attempt of "writing".
Hope you enjoy it!


The fic is in the Leia POV, its during the flight to Bespin. Its more of the internal conflict and dialogue of Leia regarding Han.
If you dont get it, dont worry, I know its confusing. Its confusing because I wrote it when my best friend had a love/hate relationship with a guy and a plot bunny hit me. So get the picture, the fic is as confusing as a person in love....

It?s impossible to ignore how thick the atmosphere is aboard the Millennium Falcon. Han and I can?t be in the same room without losing control over the situation. Sometimes I?m petrified of what might happen if we continue this playful banter we have mastered.

Ever since our kiss, I?ve lost all my lines of defense. It is a futile attempt to fend him off. He?s got me enchanted; I?m addicted to him. My mind revolves around one thing only: Han Solo.

I never thought I?d enjoy his company as much as I do now. Instead of barking our heads off, we now smile, laugh, joke around and sit comfortably in each other?s embrace. The other day he surprised me with a ?picnic? in one of the turrets. I believe I had one too many drinks on that occasion, because I woke up with a headache the size of a Hut and NO memory whatsoever of what happened after he came up with an unlabeled bottle. Force knows what was in that bottle.

Right now I?m in his cabin, one that he insisted I use as soon as we learned that this was a very long trip to Bespin. I?m sitting on the bunk, taking deep breaths to calm down. And the big smile I have plastered on my face isn?t helping anything.

Not five minutes ago we were having a nice meal.

Three minutes ago Chewie stood up and left.

Two minutes ago Han slid slyly closer to me and draped an arm around me.

A minute and a half ago he began to come slowly down and meet my lips.

A minute ago I melted in his arms.

45 seconds ago my conscience kicked in.

Been in here ever since.

What am I doing? I want to scream,
I want to run, and I want to know why I?m falling into his spell so easily.

He?s the most charming man you know, that?s why...

Here we go again, a conversation between my conscience, the helpless voice that I?ve ignored, and myself.

No, no, no, no, he?s a friend, a co-worker...

Whoever thought having little voices inside your head was normal, was definitely space-happy for too long.

He?s leaving, take your chance!

Would the both of you PLEASE be quiet!?

I can almost see the little creatures sitting on my shoulders like a Holo-cartoon, one saying one thing, the other saying another and I'm caught in the middle. I thought I had them under control since I entered politics. I think they forgot to coach me about handling members of the opposite sex who drive you insane to the last nerve.

Get a grip Organa!

Giving up, I slump down on the bed, reach to the pillow and scream into it. The conversation continues...

Who knows Organa, you might be on the edge of falling in love....

Love, yeah, whatever that is... He?s only going to hurt you, he?s dropping you off as soon as he can and he?s leaving... for good...

You don?t know that! Who knows, he might love you back!

WHOA! Who said anything about love???

I only said that she might be on the edge... Don?t ignore it sweetie... you?re in love, and ever since you met in the Death Star...

I slide off the bunk and head to the door: There?s no use in hiding in here; he?d find me eventually. I reach the door and take a deep breath. The door zaps open to reveal a shirtless, barefooted, Han Solo walking across the lounge.

?Just got out of the fresher; it?s all yours...?

?Thanks...? is all I manage to say.

I stay put and follow him with my eyes to his cabin...my mind goes blank for except one thought...

Who knows Organa, you might be on the edge of falling in love...

The trip to Bespin inspires such good Han/Leia stories, and this one demonstrates very well, in Leia's POV, how much tension there must have been in the confined space of the Falcon. Good writing!!

 

Yeah, this was very sweet. And very Leia-ish for her to arguing with herself, cause even in the movie you can see that she doesn't really want to admit that she likes him. I don't know why!! Great job!

 

Is this a one-post only, or is there going to be a part 2? Would love to read more.

As I'm feeling unoriginal and extremely conformist, I'll concede that my fav lines were also the "three minutes ago" list. I'll also agree that Leia would be exactly the kind of person to catalogue everything for the sake of her own control issues.

Fabulous job, DM. You've done a complete runaround in Leia's head and left us all with a coherent idea of what she might be thinking (even if she really doesn't know it herself).
