    Here's the LA Times article.

Sweet! It's almost a bit ironic that a show that's been dead for over five years would be pioneering a new medium of television viewing. But I like it. A lot.

It makes sense that Netflix would get it, since most of Arrested Development's target demographic can't afford/refuses to pay for a cable subscription with Showtime anyway.

Woot! Now I believe this is really happening. The 4th season anyway. Hopefully the movie as well.

    Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! :D

And yeah, I'm just glad it went to Netflix not Hulu. Hulu Plus is so incredibly dumb. I don't want to pay a subscription fee and also have to watch commercials. Showtime I have access to, but Netflix is much better for the broad population. I'm stoked!

Definitely good news all around for this project.

And that it's target demographic is up with technology anyway. I imagine Netflix viewings would more accurately represent the show's popularity than stupid Nielsens ever could.

Popularity doesn't necessarily = advertising revenue. And AD was not popular when it first aired anyway. :p

So yeah, it's good that the top choices were services that don't rely on ad revenue.

No, it was niche but I still think the Nielsens under reported how many people did actually watch it, especially for the latter seasons. I mean, I didn't even start watching it until season 3.

For anyone who hasn't seen it, here's the full video of the AD cast reunion at the New Yorker Festival when they made the original announcement about the new series and movie.

So wait, what about people that don't use Netflix? I feel like this is a huge mistake on their part.

That would have been a lot better if the moderator would have been decent.

Huge mistakes is what AD does. :p

I think they're hoping those people will, you know, sign up for netflix. Seems like a pretty good idea to me.

Mitch Hurwitz said that one of the reasons he decided to do the TV mini-series was to explain what the characters have been doing over the past 6 years or so. So it won't pick up immediately where the show left off.

Although, seeing as how Michael Cera's voice still hasn't dropped, it wouldn't be too hard to pull off. He can still pass for Kitty on the phone.

Seriously. He was great on the show but he still hasn't matured at all.

I think his upcoming performance as one of Robin's Merry Men in the remake of the 1938 classic 'The Adventures of Robin Hood' will change your view on Cera.

Wow, a friend of mine won one of the walk-on roles for the new season! He's the one who built a banana stand and took it to Netflix HQ. There were a lot of good submissions for this contest. The chess set is insanely detailed. Looks like it would be hard remembering which piece is which though.
