No because that's silly and far too nerdy for me.

    (I also hate steampunk).

Schwarzenegger's Last Stand opened in tenth place for the four-day holiday weekend...earning less than The Hobbit. lol

Arnold would have made a great Gandalf.

We also got to see a hilariously awful Soviet TV production of The Hobbit from 1985. I challenged Everton to write an EWOT review of it. [face_devil]

The only hilariously awful thing is your preconceived notion of what a Hobbit adaptation should be. That production was and still is brilliant.

Another short, but brilliant Armitage interview from Movieline, in which he shows yet again that he knows his Tolkien (from the Dwarves' war cry to the author's distaste for allegory). And also that any actor worth their salt should know their Shakespeare, for it might come in handy for their most unexpected journeys...

    Cheers,
    Lauré :)

Well I certainly don't think it should have an orange Thorin, a pervy-looking Gandalf and dancing goblins in tights - not if it aimed to be taken as a serious adaptation instead of a pythonesque parody.

Thanks for the link, Miana! I just got myself the t-shirt. It's the perfect geeky piece of clothing to wear when I go see the ME films in the theatre, and understated enough so that I don't feel out of place even if it's not premiere night...

    Cheers,
    Lauré :)

Because that link would not go unanswered, and because I always think of witty comebacks hours too late...

Ultraviolet doesn't exist in Australia (presumably not in NZ either) so I wonder if we just get a promo piece of paper inside the packaging with a code...

Since this is a thread for Tolkien things: The Terrible Secret of Tom Bombadil. From all the Bombadil speculations I have read this one is the best even though and because it's furthest from the truth.

    Neither have I. [face_dunno]

If we're lucky, Disney will buy the rights to all things Tolkien and we'll get a Bombadill spin-off movie!!!!!!
