D&D werebear art FTW!
....Wait, is this why werebears are a thing in DnD? Specifically why are chaotic good nature defenders?
Ho did I not realize this sooner?
Well, though Gygax borrows from Tolkien he also borrows from every myth ever made. Were-creatures were not invented by Tokien. D&D has everything were-thing there is. I do wish Tolkien had given more info about werewyrms. If that is a race of man to dragon shapechangers that'd be cool.
Full-sized image in all its glory:
Edit: And I'm glad they added Fili in there. The poor guy has been shoved to the sidelines lately.
And I see Majestic Thorin is still majestic...
Thorin does the same pose in every single poster.
Ah, but then Majestic Thorin (TM) wouldn't be majestic anymore. And the would-be King Under the Mountain cannot have the consequence of the Line of Durin demeaned in such a way... better to leave such antics to his nephews.
All kidding aside, looking at how handsome Fili and Kili are, I think that Thorin may have broken many a Dwarrow lady's heart when he was still Prince of Erebor. Or maybe, just maybe, as Richard Armitage wondered, he did have a sweetheart at that time, and, for some reason, lost her (perhaps to Smaug's wrath?), leading him to become the dour fellow we see at the beginning of the Quest.
Just a thought...
Here's the EE of AUJ trailer (but it's in German) Lot's of new scenes there
By all means, let's have more of the Goblin King.
Apparently it's another line or two and a (intentionally) really bad song...
They aired the EE in New Zealand the other day.
19 more days till the EE
Unless you're in Germany...or New Zealand...etc.
I'm in Canada, so gotta till November 5th
Germany has til the fifteenth. NZ already saw it.
Hence my post.
I'm in the US, though.
To buy or not to buy that is the question.
Buy is the answer
The appendices are reason enough.
9 hours of behind the scenes stuff
I, for one, will probably wait for the box set...
You'll be waiting a long time
And I will wait for the box set to drop to a reasonable price.
Exactly. That's what libraries are for.
'Tis indeed what I intend as well.
Which boxed set? Because there will probably be a Hobbit Trilogy boxed then then a Tolkien Saga Mega Super Duper all 6 films boxed set with never before seen stuff that they saved up to make you get it.
And then a theatrical re-release with 45 seconds of extra footage
Some new articles, as the media embargo on TDOS is beginning to be lifted...
