Yeah and I was all for it - I'd quite happily have 1000 page doorstopper epics!

I know better than to trust online page counts, but I'm sure Star By Star was longer.

    If only...

eta. I was actually replying to Ben's wish for epics...

According to the Wook, Vision is still the longest.

Page wise, yes. But Star by Star has a bigger font and wider margins. Plus more spacing between lines.

Paperback SBS has 624 pages. Paperback VOTF has 694. So VOTF is longer no matter how you look at it, but as far as mass, SBS is definitely larger. This is because VOTF is apparently very compacted. It's a blasted heavy book for a paperback.

Pretty certain the SBS paperback also includes Recovery.

Hardcover VotF is shorter page-wise than hardcover SbS.

How is that possible if the paperback is longer?

Smaller font and smaller margins, son.

Some people don't like picking up a doorstopper hardcover book, it intimidates them. I can see why they want to try to keep it as slim as they can. That's why word count is a more accurate judge of a book's length.

well the future does seem depressing for Star Wars. I find that i am excited and very nervous at the same time for the future of Star Wars.

Vision of the Future one sentence:

Where the EU chronologically ends for those who want their reading experience to echo the OT films and who care things like world building, character development, emotional resonance, themes, and every other literary concept that will be wholly absent from the Denning Rey era (except for Survivor's Quest).

Denning has corrupted the entirety of Del Rey with the exception of one novel? lol

You missed the word "chronologically." So therefore, yes. He was part of the New Jedi mOrass as well.

ETA: And yes, I know how much you like the NJO. VotF is still the chronological end, save for Survivor's Quest.

Are you trying to bait me into arguing what your chronological end to the EU is? I'm really confused.

Well, no blowout winner this time, but Havac squeaks it out. And that, ladies and germs, is year one of One Sentence or Less!

To no one's surprise, Hav has easily won the year overall with 31 rounds. Here's the top five:

Lastly, a special treat--I've been keeping my winner archive in a basic text file all this time, and I thought, what the hell...

Congratulations to all the winners, and now, you may enjoy a brief period of thread anarchy until instantdeath shows up and starts his first round. Thanks to him once again for taking over, and remember to tip your waitress!
