Lit Books Comics A/V One Sentence or Less -- ANDOR (SEASON 1)

First thought is: Oh let's create a character that will cause Teenage Angst between a Sith and a Jedi, and cause people to ship them...and then ruin the whole thing.

 

An omen of the series to come.

But it did bring us the lost tribe of the Sith short stories.

 

The only SW audiobook I ever downloaded, only for my brother in law to listen to, and it sat on my hard drive for a few years unlistened to until I deleted it to fit on that HD more eps of the Howard Stern Show and mobile pornography.

 

That was amazing.

I can't sum this book up in a sentence because there's truly nothing to sum up.

 

An overall "meh" just comes to mind, but that's probably more appropriate for the entire series

 

And Havac makes it two for two so far.



Now things get fun.

 

This book would be worse, but is made better by the fact that Anakin Solo and Mara Jade Skywalker make appearances; also, Vestara drinks Luke Skywalker's blood and reinforces the image of her as a teenage vampire.

Luke nearly starves to death because he bought too heavily into Yoda's "Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter" claptrap.

 

Remember all those Jacen/Caedus POV scenes from LotF, well, the novels don't remember/care, as now we get a completely new motive and reason for everything Jacen did, making LotF an even bigger waste of time.

Two books too late, the series is given an actual premise in a surprisingly well-done eerie way --- but don't worry, the villain will become more corporeal and far less interesting as the books progress.

 

Hey kids, Denning's here, so we're finally allowed to start beating the next set of plot points into the ground -- plus we can start unnecessarily retconning previous series, making the plotline much stupider, and rubbing everyone's face in the fact that Anakin Solo is dead!

While that's a very accurate description, it's also completely impossible to tell which Denning book it's a description of.

 

If Denning had his way, Anakin Solo would have been the star of this series.
