    And yet, I just purchased numbers 7 & 11 from Amazon Marketplace, because recent developments have driven my EU collection OCD into overdrive and really want to be complete by the time VII ruins it all ;)

    Two precocious kids and their kindly shapeshifting uncle land on a planet named D'vouran, and are somehow surprised when the planet starts devouring people, because Imperial weapons scientists apparently decided that "a planet that eats people who happen to land on it" would be the best use of their time and resources.

    A planet threatens to eat two kids who still believe in the Jedi, and their uber eccentric uncle.

    @Havac wins this one.

    Let's stick with GOF for now. That way I don't have to do any work. That, and GOF is literary perfection. Yeah, let's go with that second one.

    We're leaving behind the man-eating planet to explore the City of the Dead.

    After visiting D'vouran, the Arrandas couldn't imagine a worse-sounding planet, until they came to... NECROPOLIS!!!

    I find this thread's lack of @_Catherine_ disturbing.

    My initial entry was going to be to compare Boba Fett to Frank Booth but I figured no one would get the reference.

    A conceptual precursor to Obsession, because it both killed off a movie character and later had that death negated without explanation by a more authoritative source.

    We'll do at least one more Galaxy of Fear book before a break is considered. Next up: The Planet Plague.

    ok... i didn't read any of the GoF books, but here's my submission for all of them after the first of the series:

    Why haven't these two children sought out child protective services yet when their uncle keeps putting them in grave danger?

    An evil disease is on the loose on a planet you've never heard of, but don't worry, there's a guy who can turn into a giant frog, plus Wedge Antilles, so you know no stupid goo disease is going to get one over on them!
