Lately I've been humming the songs from Les Miserables. Can't help it. It was awesome.

 

I kinda wouldn't mind a song like this during a high tension/depressing/dark scene

This song gives me soo many evil and dark scene ideas

 

One of the most beautiful tiny points of the music in the PT is how Anakin's theme ends with the Imperial March. The ST soundtrack is highly under-rated IMO. He'll be back.

 

I think it's almost impossible to overestimate the importance of John Williams' music to the success of the SW saga. If there is any way he can compose the music for the new film(s), I hope he will.

Yes, he's 81 but as far as I know his mind is still sharp.

I remember reading that Lucas gave Williams sample pieces from classical music to show the feelings he wanted to express during different scenes of ANH. I really, really hope John Williams returns. If he doesn't, I hope they give similar direction to the new composer. I think we are all lucky and the entire saga benefited from Williams' mastery.

 

John Williams will be doing Episode 7 and likely 8, and 9 if he stays healthy. Even if he stops conducting at some point he can still compose and slowly pass the torch to a new talent.

 

THIS is exactly how I feel and is why JW must do the score since he has already expressed interest.
