One twin evil?!?

What do u guys think?

Im pretty certain that George gave us two twins so that he could have one go good and the other evil. One Sith and one jedi, so that they play each other off as symbols of Anikin's 'inner conflict'.

So which one will be good and which one bad? Personally i Think that the boy will be evil and the girl good. Because he has been taken to Tatooine. There is too many similar things to Anikin and his life there and i think that he may turn out to be just as crule as Anikin was even at a young age. It would be impossiblle to have Leia go evil as she is with Baile on that Star Trek-looking planet (lol!).

It should be quite the opposite! Everyone knows that women are evil!

Women require time and money, so we have:
Women = Time x Money

We also know that time equals money:

So with a simple substitution:
Women = Money x Money
Women = (Money)^2

We also know that money is the root of all evil:
Money = Sqrt(Evil)

Again, substituting the expressions:
Women = (Sqrt(Evil))^2

Therefore:
Women = Evil

Luke's totally going to the dark side. He's only got one real hand and that's just a step away from being (spoiler)his father, Darth Vader!

 

I like the idea that one of them will end up being evil. It makes a lot of sense... two Force users, two sides of the Force.

Irithis is probably right about the reason GL made Padmé have twins. I mean, why go out of your way to have a special birth and then make one twin have basically nothing to do with the Anakin fall/redemption story? That would be stupid. Besides, the japor snippet thing in TPM shows that GL knows how to use foreshadowing. There were definitely twins for a reason.

One of them probably ends up fighting with Vader and Palpatine, while the other one fights with Yoda and Obi-Wan. I don't know which twin will be where, but it'll seriously rock to see brother and sister go at each other.

I think Leia *might* be the evil one . . . if you look at the twins' names, "Luke" means "bringer of light," while the meaning of "Leia" is unclear--that spelling doesn't seem to usually be a name in its own right. It might be a variant on "Leila" though, which means "dark as the night." (References in completely invisible hotlinks--hover mouse over name definitions.)

Yes! This is what I've been saying all along!! The girl twin is going to be Vader's apprentice -- eventually, maybe not in Ep.IV, but it only makes sense. She'll dress in black like her father, and wield a red saber!

It'd certainly make sense for GL to have one twin good and the other evil. Actually it'd be a really good way of playing out what was foreshadowed in Anakin Skywalker - the two opposing sides of the Force can't coexist in one person, so the idea of the Chosen One didn't work. But to have a Chosen One for each side, personifying Jedi and Sith . . . it's the logical place for the story to go.

GL is fantastic with symbolism, and what could be more symbolic of the eternal conflict within the Force than to have two people as closely related as is possible (well, nearly) set against one another? They're twins, practically two halves of the same whole.

 

One evil twin would be a great homage to the Simpsons episide where Bart discovers he has an evil twin who has been living in the attic for many years. I fully back this proposal.

 

Yeah, but that could start off years of Simpsons parodies in SW . . .

 

If Darth Vader started speaking like Ned Flanders, and Luke grew up to be like Rod or Tod... I think we'd be looking at a modern day classic.
