The Matrix is the Star Wars of the 21 century

I do agree that Matrix and the LOTR motion pictures are better movies than both Prequels,
but please don´t discuss this matter here.
There are plenty of other threads discussing which movie series is the ultimtae one.

    Thanks :)

I still give it 5 stars a year later. Still my favorite film of the series.

Matrix and LOTR better than the prequals? Not in my opiniong. I think both prequals have been amazing comapared to the first matrix and The LOTR films. While LOTR is amazing it's still doesn't compare to Star Wars for me. Especially after TTT of which I was dissappointed. Now I'm shocked that people say the Matrix is better than the prequals. I don't think it even comes close to any star wars film or LOTR. While I like it it's just a good action flick. Haven't seeen Matrix Reloaded yet so I won't comment on that.

Nah, STAR WARS is still the STAR WARS of the 21st century. THE MATRIX is more like the BACK TO THE FUTURE of the 21st century.

I voted for four stars. Still a good film, don't believe anything but your own opinion. Some individuals here seem to delight in making people hate this movie.

I give Attack of the Clones five stars. On a scale of 1 through 10, it comes close to a ten.

Just a reminder, this thread is for discussing how many stars you gave AOTC. There really is no reason to bring up the Matrix, LOTR, Spider-Man, etc.

I gave it a 5. I'd think it really only deserves a 4.5 because of the few faults that it has (love story), but I guess I'll have to round up.

Wow, it's interesting how similar this poll is to the old one. The percentages are almost the same.

I was going to say that AOTC was highly underrated, but then I saw the number of "five stars" it got. ;)

Five stars from me. It feels like Star Wars, and its flaws do not surpass those of the OT(i.e. corny dialogue, somewhat bad acting).

    ATOC 500 stars
    TPM 500 stars
    AHN 500 stars
    ESB 500 stars
    RTOJ 500 stars

Not enough stars on the star scale for me :)

I gave it four stars last year. Now I'd give it 3 stars for me, 3 stars if you are into sci-fi, and 2 stars for everyone else.

I'm not surprised AOTC scores high on an AOTC message board ;)

I'm afraid I can only give it 2 stars. 2,5 really.

It certainly has entertaining moments, it has great effects (which provide for most of the entertaining moments), the basic story is ok, and almost every scene has something good in it...but also something bad...
If I look beyond those entertaining moments and the effects and the good intentions I see a lot of bad stuff.
A movie with a lot of potential, but with a script that's like an early draft, the way the characters are handled sucks, loads of unoriginal stuff, the movie is a bit of a mess.
Worst of all it doesn't make me look forward to Ep3 :(

Not unenjoyable, but Lucas can do better (I hope).

I still give it 5 stars. Just can not get enough of this movie! Just Love it! Even with it's flaws, which all 5 movies has, this is my fav Star Wars movie. And possibly my fav movie of all time!

Sure, but it's not like you're ONLY allowed to post on this board if you love AOTC or anything :p

More of a case of a Star Wars film scoring highly on a Star Wars forum, heh.

Well, reading a lot of threads around here, one might expect there to be as many votes for 1 star as there are for 5 stars.

I would give AOTC six stars if I could. The special effects are sweet! It was nominated for an Oscar for its special effects, but it didn't win. It should have without consideration, though.

Maybe there should be a new poll in either the SW Comunity or Saga forum, to see what the top SW film is now? :)

    Or Census of course. :)

Well, Master_Luke and I ran something called 'The Star Wars Academy Awards' on the Community Forum a couple months back. I think we got in about 150-odd votes in the end for the various catagories.

ESB was the top film, but AOTC was next in line.

I would give AOTC six stars if I could

Go on, YJ, add the 6-star option to the poll :D

I will make it allowed or required by the law!!

I give it 17 out of 18 stars.
