San Diego, CA Online Petition to Allow The Troops Overseas To See ROTS The Same Time as US

I think this would be a great morale booster to our troops overseas if they could see Star Wars on May 19th along with the rest of our country. Here is the link to the online petition. I was the fourth person to sign this. My friend Melisa suggested this to me the other day, looks like she wasn't the only one thinking along these lines.

I signed it. Being a former Army man myself, I feel that it would be a great moral booster for our troops to be able to see the movie along with the rest of us. I was deployed in the Middle East for 15 months and I wasent able to see any of the new releases unless someone sent me a DVD or I bought it myself online.

I'll post this on my LJ as well. I'd love to have the film available to those serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. One of my webmistress friends has a brother who has shipped out recently and otherwise will miss the film's release.
