Uh, not that I have any peculiar biases in the matter.

 

Dammit. I was hoping for Tarquin/Xycon interraction of some kind if not a fight.

I looked at that dangerously genre savvy link and had a Secret Of NIMH flashback but it's not the same character in the example.

I wonder if the psion is reading their minds right now, and what she'll get out of it.

I'm not sure what I like btter, Nale gets elevated by killing Tarquin in an epic father/son battle, or Elan winds up in that epic battle.

 

I can't see Tarquin and Xykon setting eyes on one another (I mean, outside some sort of Quadruple Fantasy) until the climax.

Tarquin's just gone from 'predictably unpredictable' to 'completely unpredictable'. Even though it's Nale, I think Elan's gonna take this pretty hard.

 

Wow. Serves as a reminder that when you get down to it Tarquin is, you know, evil.

That came out of nowhere.

 

I love that -- notwithstanding it's probably just a product of Rich using templates for this sort of stuff -- Elan and Nale have the same Charlie-Brown-surprised expression when he gets stabbed, and Elan's leaning at the same angle that Nale's falling at. After all -- they're like mirror images, twins, sort-of connected!

 

Yeah, this sort of stuff is why I'd LOVE to see a film (or better yet, TV show) adaptation of OOTS.

 

Tarquin just went full Axis Zeon and I love it.

 

Lawful Evil to a tee.

And loving it.

 

Nale mentioned earlier about being easily ressurrected. This might not be his finale.

 

Unless Tarquin destroys the body, which he might.

 

I can't imagine what the OOTS could do right now. Tarquin, the psion, large army complete with dinosaurs. Sabine could get Nale out of there, a V is still active.

I'm not sure what I want long term. I love to see Team Evil go toe to toe with Tarquin's adventuring team(Did they have a name as a group?). I could see Xykon killing Tarquin but that brings Elan to the forefront over Roy to eventually deal with Xykon. But then, the two of them 2 on one eventually with Xykon has a nice ring to it.

I have to say, it is amazing that a single page of comic at a time is at least as eventful as a regular 24 page comic book.

 

But that would never happen: because Tarquin knows when villains duke it out it's a toss-up!

 

I know I know I know. But I can dream.

 

I don't think Nale is coming back. The last time Sabine and Nale saw one another, Sabine was banished by Durkon's Holy Word. Sabine's last words to Nale were "I love you. Forever." At the time I wondered why so much was made of their parting. Now I suspect I know why.

 

And according to the OOTS forums, apparently Nale and Sabine can't meet in afterlife, either, because Nale is Lawful Evil (bordering on Neutral Evil), while Sabine is Chaotic Evil.

 

Perhaps Nale will get taken by the IFCC and used as their pawn along with Sabine.

 

I actually thought about that. Would be interesting.

 

We're on 913. How big are the books? Assuming no adverts and typical comic book size 913 pages is a tad shy of 4 years of a title.

Anyone here own the books? What am I missing?
