OK, I went to start the biker body armor (I know I?ve been saying that for months, but I did want to wait till the guard was done first) and decided I needed a basic ?test fit? of the armor. No T-bits, tank, web belt, thermal, etc.

Here is the question: it?s too big for me?

Is it just a ?lost cause?, nice idea but I just can?t pull it off?

I really need honest opinions here. I need to know if I should proceed or just give up and sell the whole thing before I spend more money and time on it.

Damian. I am fully secure in my armor abilities when I say that is starting to look AWESOME! It just needs some tender love and know how....I told you that I am ever available to assist you, as I too know how armor is suposed to fit and look. I cant wait to see it complete! I believe you may have it ready by the BATLEFRONT2 event...if you are motivated enough.. =D=

Damien, I think it looks good. I'd also have to look at a pic of a biker scout but just looking at these I think it looks pretty good.

Oh and your beard is getting greyer :p ;)

Aren't you a little short for a storm tropper?

but, not for a biker! looks good

the knee looks a little too big, but other than that it looks good on you

one suggestion: leave the blue tape

    Hey Damian!

FYI, the blue tape isn't canon for Biker Scouts. But white gaffer's tape is for Sandies and TKs. Go figure! [face_laugh]

Of course, I'm just kidding. Here's my critique:

    1. I've trooped with Scouts in your height range and slightly shorter. If you do some trimming to the armor to make it a bit proportional, you won't notice if the pieces seem too big.

    2. The knees. Yes, they are slightly big, but once you get the elastic strap around the back, they'll hug your legs better and not look flared. But I would still trim maybe a 1/4 to a 1/2 all around.

    3. The thigh boxes are too big, but that's just one of the flaws with that kit. Trim it down. Take a look at the BSN gallery to get it in proportion.

    4. The holster: the part that attaches to the boot is a bit big. Trim it a bit near the bottom and slightly around. I've discovered that you SHOULD round off the corners as well. They can snag on things if you aren't careful.

I think that's it. The kit is a good one, but just needs a few adjustments.
