I just got back from shopping a Larada's. Wow, what a great store! Every aisle I was going through got me to thinking of a SW costume. Unfortunately, I was without my Desert or Fleet trooper checklist, so my shopping was limited to the blue shirt for the Rebel Fleet Trooper. I'm on my way OW! I almost wished that one of you fine fols was with me to help me pick out stuff, but oh well, maybe the next time we do a costuming party! This is MC signing off from the Mesa Public Library. P.S. Any regular customers of Bookman's might want to think about haggling. The prices are not set in stone. Today I got $.50 off on two magazines and a free one because some pages were torn off. Try getting them to lower their price, it just might work.

 

Well, I got some good news about my costume. Because of what I'm going to be doing with the guard, I'm going to be getting some of the items over the next couple of months. Specifically, the Sharper Image personal A/C unit and the cooling vest (that you soak in water), and possibly a personal mister.

It sounds like it gets very hot in the tracked vehicles that we work in, and that anything to keep cool is useful. So I'll be getting them soon.

And I got the desert boots already, courtesy of the US Army.

 

The first batch is being trimmed now. We should be seeing them soon.
